Final Fantasy IV

This is my first final fantasy game. At first the gameplay seemed very akward but after a hour of exploring, I'm hooked. Are all ff games like this? Should I get 3 and beat that first so it won't mess up the story line in the DS?

neither of the 12 final fantasy are sequels to each other except the ones with same number such as Final Fantasy X-2 or Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core

nah u dont have to, but i do recomend training a lot, cause i just flew threw the game and now i get hung up on crazy hard bosses

X-2 was... amusing i got both the perfect endings, otherwise some of the missions are kinda gay

FF3 for the ds wasn't as good as FF4 but I would still get it.

i still say the older version of final fantasy IV for the advance was better
