The princess is finally getting her own chance in the spotlight in her own 2-d game that's plays a lot like any other mario game.
The Story
Mario is kidnapped! And so is Luigi(but nobody cares as usual). bowser has a new weapon called the Vibe Scepter which he uses to send all of the mushroom kingdom into utter emotional chaos. Now peach has to save mario for once. but first she's going to have to get through 8 different worlds to get him back with her newfound friend perry the talking parasol, and her 4 emotions(anger, joy, sadness, and glee).7/10
The Gameplay
It's a 2-d adventure/level based game that's much like all of mario's 2-d sidecroller games except this has the twist of puzzles that you have to solve with your emotions and plenty of reasons to go back to a level so you can unlock all of the bonus content and get all of the toads. Buying new abilities is a healthy new twist in the mario series that makes the game overall a little more difficult.8/10
The Graphics
The graphics are nothing special here. The same as any other mario game that came out before it. Not bad or good, kinda halfway.6/10
The Longevity
This game will probably last you a little while to complete with 100% and even after that it's still pretty fun to go back and do a level again. 8/10
The Closing Comments
An overall good game. Don't let the girly image and seemingly girly gameplay fool you. This is a pure mario title at heart. Worth a buy if you can get it for $25 or less.
