The Force Unleashed Review by Stealth - 02-06-09

The story of this game takes place in between episodes 3 (Revenge of the Sith) and 4 (A New Hope). It basically follows the actions of Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice and his actions. Its pretty well done with stuff included that even I didn’t know about. It even goes into some of the history of the Sith. I’d give the story 3.5 out of 5 stars. It did explain a lot of things but it left even bigger holes in other places.

Gameplay
Ok this is the only place in my point of view where this game fails. I can understand why Lucas Arts is mad at Nintendo for not showing them the Wii Motion Plus accessory. It basically is just waving your arm around like a madman. I had to stop playing several times just because my wrist hurt. With that being said the accuracy of the lightsaber strikes are pretty good. My scoring on this is 2.5 stars.

Well there isn’t much to be done once you finish the game. Sure you can go through again with the force powers that you’ve unlocked, power up the other force powers and collect hidden holocrons but that’s pretty much it. There is a multiplayer (2 player only sadly) lightsaber battle side which is okay but with the bad controls it just feels bad. I’m going to score this with a 2.5 stars out of 5 possible.

Well when developers actually put time into developing the graphics engine to push the Wii as far as it can go it doesn’t disappoint. The graphics are simply amazing in my point of view, well for the Wii at least. I’m going to give 5 out of 5 here.

While this game has its flaws if you are able to look past them it is a pretty good game. Though I would think that the hardcore Star Wars fan would enjoy this more I would hope that those that don’t like Star Wars that much might be able to enjoy this title aswelll.

I pretty much agree with this review 100%. The game is awesome the first time through. Then you pretty much have to beat it a 2nd time (I felt I had to) to get the alternate ending. It is extremely difficult to look past the flaws and enjoy this game for what it is. For me,the two biggest disappointments as far as this game goes is 1) you can beat the game in less than a day if you rush through it and 2) the lack of online play. For a game like this and the hype that surrounded it, online multiplayer should have been a key ingredient. That alone, could have put this game over the top.

I would say at best, it's a good rent!

Meh, I didn't like it all that much. Your review spoke the truth apart from the graphics, sure they were okay some times but the character faces were very disappointing and fake looking.

Oh and I beat the game in one sitting

Not bad. There's some spelling errors towards the end, though.
