Stuck on Metroid Prime 1 (98%)

Hi everyone, I only signed up recently but introductions will have to wait a bit, this is a life and death situation. Ok it's not, but hear me out....

I'm currently stuck in MP1 w/ 98% item completion and I don't know what I could have missed. This, by the way, is the Wii version from the trilogy. So don't accuse me of misusing the forums ^^.

I have collected:
all 49 missile expansions + the upgrade itself (250 missiles)
all 14 Energy tanks
all 4 power bomb expansions (7 ammo in total)
all 12 artifacts

I also have:
All 4 visors
all 4 beams + phazon beam
Morphball w/ boost, spider, bomb, power bomb
The power, varia, gravity, and phazon suits
Missile launcher w/ all 4 missile + beam combo
Charge Beam
Grapple Beam
Space Boots

But the item percentage remains at 98%. I've completed 96% of scans with only the last 4 creatures left to scan. But that doesn't count towards item percentage. So what could I have missed?

... i just bought the game. exactly how long did it take you to get all that?

did you get wavebuurser, flamethrower, and ice spreader?
(charge plus missle combos)
if so then see what heppens if you finish the game as is worst case senereo do it over again
btw the log book scans stay from one game to anopther on the same file so no worries there
