Wii for Fitness: Interesting Site for Staying Fit With the Wii
There's a new site that helps put a not-so-new idea into actionable terms. WiiHealthy.com breaks down a 10-week exercise program designed to help you lose weight by playing the Nintendo Wii and Wii Sports. The site analyzes the different games in Wii Sports and discusses which is the best to use for losing weight. It also includes tips for burning more calories while you play. While most of the information is fairly common sense and breaks down to "Play Wii Sports for 30 minutes a day", seeing it all in one place reminds me of how easy such an exercise plan would be to implement. While the Wii will certainly burn less calories per minute exercising than something more traditional like actually playing tennis, chances are you'll find it easier to play on a daily basis for a short period of time. By spacing a moderate level of exercise over many days... well, it certainly can't hurt. And there's some examples of it actually working, like the Wii Sports Experiment. Between this, the Kilowatt, and a DDR pad, the home console has far more potential for physical fitness than you might realize.

This is a great site and I think everyone should atleast visit it and read a few of the articles. They really touch you and you should atlease take some time to read them...Not to mention they are interesting.
