The Conduit - Online Compatible?

I've been looking at this game for a little while, it and Okami are the only games that I have become interested in recently. However, I don't want to waste my money on a lame Sci-Fi shooter, unless it's going to have some badass online capabilities. I watched both the "Tech Demo" trailer, and the gameplay trailer. At the end of the second one there is a brief conversation where "John" says, "Death match has been authorized". Is that a hint towards online or am I just nuts?

The game is still early in development, so I doubt anyone will know, but any information would be appreciated.

Yeah it's most likely a hint to online.

ive heard all around the web that t is going to be but no-one really knows till they annouce it. but with the dialogue at the end it sure sounds like it.

16 Player Multiplayer. Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag have all been confirmed. And 16 player sliptscreen on one TV? Get real! Sounds like WiFi if you ask me!
