Aerodatyl is the best Pokemon for putting up Stealth Rocks and Tentacruel can spin and be a special wall

actually, i may be wrong, but i don't think azelf was mentioned on this thread.
azelf is a great rocker because of its speed and mix sweeping ability.
like aerodactyl, it is made to take out common leads such as hypnosis gengar and yanmega.

a standard azelf rocker would consist of
Stealth Rock
Flamethrower(to take out bronzong leads) OR Thunderbolt (to take out gyarados leads)
Psychic (to take out gengar leads and crobat leads + STAB) OR Taunt(to take care of pesky hypnosis/taunt/SR/spikes/t-spikes leads)
Explosion (for when you start to feel threatened;))

Yeah, I mainly covered the best of those ones, though not Toxic Spikes.

And things like Rhyperious and Regirock are better left to more offensive prone sets.


I'll add this. And now, team building starts to get difficult, because you should look at all of the good ones and then determine which one would be best for your team, so on and so forth.

i was thinking about using an infernape lead w/ choice scarf and stealth rock.
set up rocks then switch, then bring it in as a late game sweeper.
could be a pretty good set methinks

Yeah, that kind of Nape was offered as a suggestion for that team I posted a couple weeks ago. I never really decided upon it or not, to tell the truth.

Ok a few people may not agree with me but i use blissey as a stealth rocker.
the reason being that i know im going to get SR out on the field because of the stupid amount of HP she has. i do also use her to heal and aid the party but i found a slot for SR.
I use Skarmory as my Spiker. which is probably the most common spiker.
and although forretress and starmie are the most common spinners i actually use claydol.
claydol is immune to both SR and spikes so has no problem switching in on them.
this works well with MY team and after time you will find out what best suits your team and style. you don't just want to use what people say are the best but its a good start untill you find your feet in wifi battles.
