How come I got extra EXP from Exp. Share?

Hi,

Recently, I've been training some weak, low-leveled Pokemon. About 3 hours ago, I was recieving normal experience (50%) for the Pokemon that had equipped the Exp. Share, now I'm getting "boost" points, which is roughly 25% more than I would originally gain.

Why is this?

I believe you get "boost points" if you got the Pokemon off a trade.

Quite correct. I believe I obtained this Pokemon from the GTS.

Traded Pokemon grow faster than your own Pokemon. Pokemon you obtain in a trade get about 1.5x more EXP than your regular Pokemon.

If it was obtained from another country, the experience is multiplied by 1.7 instead of 1.5

The .2 difference is roughly 25%.

That's probably what is happening.
