Getting a Shiny Shaymin

If I save before battling him and keep turning off and on, is it possible to get a shiny one?

Its the OAKS LETTER Shaymin btw

and if it is possible, does anyone have a guesstimation on the odds?

ya that can work i've herd on legandaries, and I think the odds are like 800,000 to 1 aginst, which means everytime you see a poke'mon you roll a 800,000 sided dice and there is one # on that dice that will make the poke' a shiny.

Well I've been rolling that dice for about 4 hours now! I will keep going.

Getting a Shiny Pokemon is a 1/8912 chance. Just keep on trying.
