When I first had my saphire version, I wasn't still familiar with some new moves. My Lilleep (root fossil pokemon) had learned the move Ingrain, and I decided to test it against any foe. I fought the first pokemon that appeared, a Sandshrew. It had a much lower level than my Lilleep, so it wasn't very strong. I used Ingrain and the mouse used Sand-Attack. I missed my next move, that wasn't very affective in the first place (Acid). Sandshrew only had 3 moves that were either anoying or useless, (Sand-Attack, Scratch and Defence Curl). I missed my next moves and Sandshrew couldn't do any damage to my pokemon, because Sand-Attack and Defence Curl don't deal damage and Scratch wasn't very affective. I couldn't switch because of Ingrain and I missed almost every attack I delivered, and when it hit, the damage was so low it seemed almost uneffective. I didn't save my game for quite some time, so reseting the game wasn't an option. The battle lasted an hour, and it only ended because Sandshrew struggled to death. After that day, no pokemon of mine ever, EVER, learned Ingrain again...
