American video game chain GameStop is holding a Pokémon Diamond and Pearl tournament via Pokémon Battle Revolution Saturday. The winner at each store will receive a copy of Pokémon Battle Revolution and a Pokétopia T-shirt.
The tournament, to be held at hundreds of stores nationwide, is sponsored by Nintendo. Each player must bring his or her own Nintendo DS and copy of Pokémon Diamond/Pearl.
Second place winners will receive a Pokétopia T-shirt, and all participants will receive a "free Pokémon special gift," according to the GameStop Web site.
The times of the tournament are unknown and may change from store-to-store.

I might definitely be going as well, too bad i've never played Pokemon Battle Revolution, lol, but on the other hand, me and my friend are training our pokemon to level 100 for this, so we can pwn people!

lol, sorry dude! I beat you to it almost a week ago ^_^! But at least I don't have to bump it now. I called the Gamestop I'll be going to for the tournament and he signed me and told me it will be a 3 on 3 singles tourney, lv50 "cap," starting at 3PM. Just a reminder to everyone: CALL YOUR STORE. I've heard from others online that some tourneys were cancelled, some banned ubers, some even said you use rental Pokemon! So find out the rules and hope that the paperwork for the tourney isn't in the store's trashcan.

lol no, I saw it on Pokébeach and called up the store (since I was seeing mixed messages over various boards). And yeah I hated the fact that they didn't put the rules up there with the promo >_< And apparently they'll be holding Pokedex and bag checks to look out for "suspicious" games, so get ready to explain your box full of Shiny Shinx's and shiny legendaries XD. I'm thinking about sending all my shinies to my friend for safe keeping so that I won't have to bother explaining the awesomeness of online trading to n00bs.
