Common move combinations - 12-22-07

I need a list of some( or all if thats possible) of good move combinations followed by the effect (i.e., Rain Dance and Thunder- Thunder hits guaranteed) This is important because i am working on having a strong pokemon team and trainer reputation.

Re: Common move combinations - 12-22-07

try some of this for size-
rain dance+ a pokemon with swift swim= 2x speed
hail storm= 100% accuracy of blizzard
sandstorm= lowered accuracy i think
poison status(toxic orb)+ poison absorb ability= gaining hp each turn.

there are much more but those are some of the more prevent ones

Fog does that. Unless you were referring to Thunder's accuracy.
It's 'Poison Heal', not Poison Absorb :o

Also, Endure+Reversal.

Substitute + Belly Drum.

Sleep+Set-up(Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, etc.)

These are the main ones that I use.

double battle strategies are EVERYWHERE and there's a seemingly endless supply of them, my favorite is lapras/vaporeon, both water absorb, and surf.

Re: Common move combinations - 12-23-07

dude move combinations are horrible unless you are fighting a tard or something...i.e.:rain dance+thunder is a waste of time..

people like skullmajora will tell you complicated blah about whatever and so will most people on this site...trust me just raise these:

if you want to make a name for yourself its very simple..just get a snorlax...

EV it in sp def and hp fully....give it leftovers

body slam
curse
sleep talk
rest

thats really enough to beat most the trash on this site...

also get a gyrados EV it in def and hp full evs

dragon dance
stone edge
waterfall
taunt

and an electivire with speed and attack full evs

thunderpunch
cros chop
ice punch
earthquake

then build the other 3 pokemon around those....have fun whatever

and double battles are just dumb..as much as people dont want to hear it,metagross and a gengar is just ..auto-win...if any of you people want to prove me wrong go ahead..

avoid double battles..or do what jibbeh said also...double battles are for fat people anyway...

Re: Common move combinations - 12-23-07

That post didn't make you sound like a hypocrite at all >_>

Snorlax gets completely walled by Gengar. You'll be wasting your time Cursing if a Gengar just comes in and kills you.

Quote:
Damage from a Sassy Snorlax's Body Slam after six Curses on a Gengar - Damage: 0.00% - 0.00%
Registeel walls the hell out of Gyarados.

Quote:
Stone Edge from an Adamant Gyarados after six Dragon Dances with no attack EV's on a Relaxed Registeel with 252 HP and 252 Def - Damage: 28.30% - 33.24%

Waterfall from the same Gyarados and Registeel- Damage: Damage: 68.13% - 80.22%
Stone Edge barely does anything, but Waterfall puts a huge dent in Registeel. Good luck getting six Dragon Dances before Registeel uses Thunder/Zap Cannon on you, though.

Electivire also falls to a Solrock.

Quote:
Damage from an Adamant Electivire's Ice Punch with 252 Attack EV's on a Careful Solrock with 252 HP / 252 Def EV's - Damage: 18.60% - 22.09%

Damage from the same Electivire's Cross Chop on Solrock - Damage: 24.71% - 29.07%

Blah blah blah's Thunderpunch - Damage: 27.91% - 33.14%
Those three are EASILY countered. By OU/BL/UU Pokémon respectively.

shido dont start with me honey...nobody around here uses a registeel or a solrock and its just some kid who wants to battle with some cheap ppokemon geez shido...

as for the whole gengar vs snorlax thing....it happens ..who cares..everything has a counter in this game...deal with it...i dont want to hear anything out of a kid who uses action replay to hack his pokemon like you do

LOL. I don't hack my Pokémon with an Action Replay. I use it just like anybody else would at Smogon.

Also, for the whole debate about nobody using Registeel, I was going to use one when DS SR'd for a good one.
