[RMT] Level 25 Set - 05-20-08

Me and my friends at school recent started back playing Pokemon, and thought it would be interesting to have battles, with only level 25s.

So... I was wondering if I could get any advice for my team. This is what I have so far...

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
Ability: Keen Eye
252 HP / 156 Defence / 102 Attack

~ Drill Peck
~ Stealth Rock
~ Whirlwind
~ Roost

Standard set. Starter to set up Stealth Rock.

Houndoom @ Heat Rock
Nature: Modest
Ability: Fire Flash
EVs: 252 Special Att/252 Speed/6 HP

~ Flamethrower
~ Dark Pulse
~ Solar Beam
~ Sunny Day

This set will go hand in hand with Exeggutor. Sunny Day would boost up Flamethrower, and reduce the time for Solar Beam. Also, a great switch if I predict a fire move going onto Exeggutor.

Exeggutor @ Lum Berry
Nature: Modest
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: ???

~ Physic
~ SolarBeam
~ Moonlight
~ Explosion

With Sunny Day set up from Houndoom, this thing would have double speed, and Moonlight would also restore this guys HP fully.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Ability: Natural Cure
102 HP/252 Special Att/156 Speed

~ Surf
~ Phychic
~ Thunderbolt
~ Recover

A decent, overall, Special Sweeper.

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Nature: ???
Ability: Pressure
EVs: ???

~ Ominous Wind
~ Phychic
~ Confuse Ray
~ Will-O-Wisp

Not really much to say here, simply here for the non-weakness.

I'd get rid of Sunny Day. While it'll help your Houndoom and Exeggutor, it doubles Skarm's Flamethrower weakness, cripples Starmie's Surf strength, makes Starmie vulnerable to Fire-type attacks...

It's not worth it.

Sunny Day really reduces Surf's power? Wow, that was something I was unaware of.

As for Skarm's weakness, i'll try to antcipate it and switch in Houndoom, and besides, Skarm would be starting so he would be out of there before Sunny Day was set up.

Sunny Day boost the power of Fire-type moves by 2x, and halves the power of Water-type moves.

good team werelynx is right tho, if oyu eliminate the sunny day skarm will b a lot stronger
try and put a chioce skarf on the eggsegutor or get rid of it, its nothing without good speed
