Banning Of Garchomp

A counter to garchomp would be any ice pokemon with high special attack and speed that knows ice beam.

Honestly he is four times as weak to ice and if an ice pokemon uses an ice move it does an extra 1.5% damage. That deals the damage that ice beam does+your special attack-your opponents special defense+4.5%

More than enough damage to KO garchomp.(i may be wrong with my equation there...)

Banning Garchomp is the WORST idea ever! What were these people thinking? He's not cheap at all! One ice beam and BAM!

Garchomp is powerful, but there ARE counters. Namely, the fast ice punch or ice beam users. Depending on what Garchomp is packing, it MAY affect that though; any Garchomp with a speed increasing nature with Fire Fang or Stone Edge could break the chances of using Ice Punch/Beam, and if Weavile happens to be slower for whatever reason, then it's toast.

defense chomp with EVs in either sp def or def and HP can take any ice hit the game has to offer and slam it in the opponents face.
skarfchomp outruns any ice users, and can take at least one ice shard without worrying too much about the damage, banded chomp OHKO's any bulky ice users, and in order to get a guarunteed KO on garchomp with ice beam and no STAB, you need a minimum of 269 sp atk, AND to be able to outrun him or survive a hit, both are things that are not terribly easy to do.
