Mew Event?? Wow

So there is going to be a Mew event. That is kind of scary. I have never owned a Mew... plus there's going to be another event to get Latias/Latios... I was wondering what do you think of these sudden new events?

Mew will be released to commemorate the 10th year anniversary of Pokemon Gold and Silver to Japanese versions of HG/SS/D/P/Pt

HG/SS will get the Mew first, and then later on they will re-release it for HG/SS/D/P/Pt

Can somebody please give me the specifics, I would love to have a mew and Yaminokame's website is in Japanese (I think).

It's a Wi-Fi event to all Japanese versions (Japanese versions only) of HG/SS/D/P/Pt during the time periods I listed above. There isn't much else to know :p Use Mystery Gift during those dates and you can get them.

Look on the bright side though, if they did it in Japan there is always a possibility they could do it for other countries eventually as well :p

Its starts January 26- Febuary 11. Via nintendo zone(at any local Mcdonald's in japan) you just receive it.

They also mention in the first paragraph of the first actual mew event back in 1999.

Latios/Latias I don't really care for you can already capture the other one via wild.
Heart Gold: Latias
Soul Silver: Latios.

you get the other one(s) for the event.
