    • Fire Blast: Fire Blast > Flamethrower for more power. Nice STAB move. True Fire Blast is more power but with all those sp.atk evs and stab a SE flamethrower will kill anything weak to fire just as good and it gets rid of that chance of missing
    • Close Combat: Puts a dent in virtually everything that doesn't flat out resit it.

  • The Z l Porygon-Z
  • Ability: Adaptability
  • Item: Life Orb
  • Nature: Timid (+Spe, - Atk)
  • EVs: 4 HP| 252 Sp.Atk | 252 Spe
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Nasty Plot: Allows me to hit 738 Sp.Atk after a single Plot. For me, Agility is more convenient since P-z already has beastly attack and it can OHKO mostly anythings thats SE to it. One agility and it could be a possible sweep as in one nasty plot and something faster can just kill it.
    • Tri Attack: This attack is deadly with adaptability + Life Orb + Nasty Plot and it has the ability to inflict para, burn, or freeze. So much win for one attack.
    • Dark Pulse: Allows me to hit ghosts that try switch in on Tri Attack.
    • Hidden Power [Fighting]: Lets me hit steels and normal types for SE damage.

  • DemonEyes l Gliscornice its definitely unexpected for those Lucario switch-ins for Hp Ice
  • Ability: Hyper Cutter
  • Item: Leftovers
  • Nature: Impish (+Def, - Sp.Atk)
  • EVs: 252 HP | 12 Atk | 28 Def | 218 Spe
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Swords Dance: Gives me a nice attack boost. After one dance Stone Edge OHKO's bulkydos and mence / nite.

Re: Updated Team is Updated - Please rate :) - 11-10-08

The only thing I can honestly say is, watch out for Inner Focus leads. They'll be expecting Fake Out, stay in, and then murder your Infernape when it Stealth Rocks. Granted it has Focus Sash, it doesn't exactly help if Infernape is left with 1 HP (if said lead also has Pursuit, you're not in exactly good hands). Crobat, Alakazam, Lucario, and Dragonite leads should be instant switch outs for Infernape.

Other than the obvious threats to a Fake/Rock lead, it's a damn fine team. I seriously don't know what to change since you're covering so much. Maybe Recover on Starmie, but only if you ditch a move, and the reality is, you can't since it covers so much.

Thanks to AnaBanana for the sig :D

Need help changing my profile and some ideas for a theme and new avatar, as well as a possible new sig pic. Message me if you'd like to help.

Re: Updated Team is Updated - Please rate :) - 12-06-08

all i have to say is, rapid spin (in my opinion) is useless, especially w/ gengar being one of the top starmie counters.
also, watch out for gyarados/azelf leads w/ the ape lead, because i have been seeing them a lot lately.

Looks good but Taunt could be an option somewhere since most LeadApes run less speed and you could ruin their set up and still get teh rocks up.

  • Dusky l Dusknoir
  • Ability: Pressure
  • Item: Leftovers
  • Nature: Impish (+Def, - Sp.Atk)
  • EVs: 252 HP | 144 Atk | 108 Def
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Substitute: Provides a nice substitute that I can hide behind and fire of punches left and right.

  • Team Work:Counters alot of pokemon that can threaten my team greatly and covers Porygon-Z's fighting weakness.

Focus Punch already rapes Steels (Although Scizor might be Bulky enough to survive), so Ice/Thunder punch might be better.

  • JIRACHI l Jirachi
  • Ability: Serene Grace
  • Item: Leftovers
  • Nature: Careful (+Sp.Def, - Sp.Atk)
  • EVs: 252 HP | 56 Atk | 200 Sp.Def
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Wish: Allows me to heal myself or any of my other pokes.

  • Team Work:Supports the rest of the team with wishes. Jirachi also covers ALOT of my other pokemons weaknesses and prevents the rest of my team from getting poisoned with its handy resistance to poison.

Lol parahax is epic. It's great on a support Jirachi too.

  • WattaStar l Starmie
  • Ability: Natural Cure
  • Item: Leftovers
  • Nature: Timid (+Spe, - Atk)
  • EVs: 160 HP| 132 Sp.Atk | 216 Spe
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Surf: STAB attack that deals with fire and ground pokemon.
    • Ice Beam: First part of the boltbeam combo. Allows me to take out mence and other dragons.
    • ThunderBolt: Second part of the boltbeam combo. Allows me to take out gyara and other water pokemon.
    • Rapid Spin: Icing on the cake. Helps me support the rest of my team by clearing the field of entry hazards.
  • Description:Starmie is win. It hits almost every pokemon for neutral damage with boltbeam and is generally pwn. Counters gyarados nicely. It can take two earthquakes from gyarados after a dragon dance and OHKO's with t-bolt.
  • Team Work:Helps my team avoid crippling status moves with natural cure and clears the field of entry hazards with rapid spin.

Entry hazards aren't really a problem for this team so Grass Knot is an option over Rapid Spin.

  • Big Z l Porygon-Z
  • Ability: Adaptability
  • Item: Life Orb
  • Nature: Timid (+Spe, - Atk)
  • EVs: 4 HP| 252 Sp.Atk | 252 Spe
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Nasty Plot: Allows me to hit 738 Sp.Atk after a single Plot.
  • Description:This is my special sweeper. After a Plot boost this thing is win. With Dark / Fighting coverage I hit everything for neutral damage. Tri Attack is just icing on an overloaded cake.
  • Team Work:Covers Dusknoirs ghost weakness and sweeps ftw.

Nasty Plot Z looks good on paper but it can't outspeed ****. Maybe you could use Rock Polish on Gliscor for speed and powah. Rock polish also lets Gliscor pass faster than a switch in so its a win-win.

  • DemonEyes l Gliscor
  • Ability: Hyper Cutter
  • Item: Leftovers
  • Nature: Impish (+Def, - Sp.Atk)
  • EVs: 252 HP | 12 Atk | 28 Def | 218 Spe
  • Move Set Breakdown:
    • Swords Dance: Gives me a nice attack boost. After one dance Stone Edge OHKO's bulkydos and mence / nite.
    • Baton Pass: Lets me pass any of my stat boosts on to another poke when a threat comes in.
    • Earthquake: With the attack EVs I can OHKO lucario. Nice STAB attack that hits alot of pokemon.
    • Stone Edge: This move is kinda just filler but like stated earlier it allows me to take down gyara and mence after a dance.
  • Description: This Gliscor runs enough speed to outrun Adamant Lucario and get a clean OHKO with Earthquake.
  • Team Work: Covers starmies electric weakness and infernape and jirachi's groud weaknesses. It also passes Swords Dances to Dusknoir and Jirachi who enjoy the attack boosts alot.

Like I said, try running RP to abuse Porygon-Z a little more.
