It seems like DP will be, more than anything else, about having a certain strategy, planning, and executing that strategy. There is simply too much to counter in too few pokemon and moves; at this point one can never hope to be able to counter everything.

At A Glance
Like my title says, my team has peaked at 1431 on Shoddy and I need help getting it higher. This is purely an offensive team as you can see. The point is to basically hit the opponent as hard and as fast as possible and I have put together 6 of the best sweepers in the game to make this team work. It may look like there is no thought put into my team when infact, it is quite the opposite. Offensive teams work by switching in Pokemon on predicted attacks to try and minimize as much damage as possible. Another key part of my team is the fact that all 6 of my Pokemon are immune to Toxic Spikes, 4 are immune to Spikes, and only 2 Pokemon are weak to Stealth Rock. This really comes in handy against stall teams by allowing me to switch in and out without fear of taking residual damage. So now that you have a little background info, lets take a closer look shall we?

A Closer Look

Metagross @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
252 HP |252 Atk | 6 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Explosion
Description: Metagross makes a great lead. He is incredibly bulky and is capable of standing up to every lead in the game (barring Heatran and Infernape). Other then those to previously mentioned pokemon, no other lead is able to OHKO metagross. It's just that dam bulky. This makes him great for setting up Stealth Rock. Stealth Rock is an important part of any offensive team because it turns many would be 3HKO's into 2HKO's. You may be looking at my dual stab moves and be scratching your head, but it works wonders. Meteor Mash puts a dent into anything that doesn't resist it and Bullet Punch lets me take down weakened Pokemon and sashers without worrying about taking another hit. My final move is Explosion. So many games have been won for me because of a timely Explosion from Metagross. Explosion helps me punch a hole into my opponents Pokemon which clears the way for another one of my sweepers.
EV Spread: Max attack allows me the possibility of OHKOing Hippowdon with Explosion. Max HP allows me to survive lead Azelfs Fire Blast. Yanmega’s Bug Buzz is a 3HKO as is Aerodactyl's Earthquake.
Teamwork: Metagross lures out Bulky grounds such Hippowdon and Swampert. If these two lead, I just explode right away and forgo Stealth Rocks. These two commonly carry Stealth Rocks themselves, so neither team gets SR, while I eliminate a major threat to my sweepers. As already mentioned, a timely explosion is gamebreaking. In short Metagross is a suicide lead that is meant to last. I emphasise the word “suicide” because Metagross usually ends up exploding to make way for my sweepers to clean up. Metagross’s steel typing also makes it a great switch into draco meteors and outrages.

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
74 HP | 252 Atk | 184 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Bounce
Description: This is your standard Life Orb Gyarados. I opted to run Lefties instead of Life Orb because in testing, Life Orb didnt push many 2HKO's into OHKO's so the extra recovery is welcome and allows me to say in the game longer. Once Gyara gets a DD it's pretty much game over. He just absolutely rips through teams. Bounce is a great move to abuse. It allows me to gain lefties recovery on weakened foes and is a secondary STAB move. Here are a few damage calcs for bounce:
Bold 252 HP / 220 Def Celebi: 81.68-96.53%
Timid 136 HP / 156 Def Starmie: 72.54-85.76%
EV Spread: Max Attack is fairly obvious to deal as much damage as possible. 184 Speed EVs allow me to outspeed base 115s after a DD, notably starmie. The rest is thrown into HP for extra survivability.
Teamwork:Gyarados deals massive damage to most pokemon. Many teams have to rely on a Scarfer to take down Gyara which allows me to chip away at counters and switch ins. Often times Gyarados takes down entire teams for me. I also redirect all Fire and Ground attacks aimed at Metagross to Gyarados you softens the blows nicely.

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
6 HP | 252 Spe | 252 SpA
Timid nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
- Explosion
Description: Putting a Choice Scarf on Magnezone solves the Speed issues that it has; with a Choice Scarf and the given EVs, Magnezone reaches a 360 Speed. This isn't exactly the best, but it allows me to outspeed all steel pokemon not holding a choice scarf which then lets me take them down with either STAB Thunderbolt (which does a lot working off of a 359 attack stat) or HP Fire. Magnezone is my main switch in to Scizor. Zone takes all of Scizors attacks with ease and OHKOs all but the bulkiest Scizors with HP Fire.
EV Spread: Like said earlier, the speed EVs gives me 360 speed. Max HP allows me to really hit other pokemon hard, especially with stab thunderbolt. The remaining EVs were put into HP so that I can take outrages a little better.
Teamwork: Magnezone protects the rest of my team from the ever present threat that is Scizor. Zone also covers Gyara's Electric weakness and it can take Dark and Ghost attacks that are aimed at Gengar.

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
4 HP | 252 Spe | 252 SpA
Hasty nature (+Spe, -Def)
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Explosion
Description: Good ole' Gengar. This is your standard life orb gengar set but instead of using hypnosis, I opted for an extra attack move. Thunderbolt and HP Ice provide great coverage and when coupled with Shadow Ball I don't think there is any poke that resists that combo. Explosion lets me take out another pokemon when Gengar gets to low on health.
EV Spread: The EV spread is straight forward. 252 Sp.Atk lets me hit things hard and 252 Speed allows me to outspeed threats.
Teamwork: Gengar covers Magnezone's Fighting and ground weaknesses. Gengar functions just like all of my other members, it opens up holes in my opponents team to allow another poke of mine to sweep easier.
.......
Lol... I reached my character limit... The rest of the team will be continued in the next post.
