Sumeet's first non-noobish RMT (sorta) - 02-13-09

Metagross@Lum Berrry/Leftovers? AKA TazerX
252 Attack, 252 Hp, 4 Defense
Adamant Nature
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Explosion
Bullet Punch

The standard lead Metagross. Sets up rocks then does as much damage as he can pull off then explodes. He works pretty well and his rock help some other team members make some kills.

Suicune@Leftovers AKA Oceanus
252 Hp, 252 Defense, Special Defense
Bold Nature
Calm Mind
Substitute
Ice Beam/Signal Beam?
Surf

My physical switch in. He can absorb all sorts of hell and deal it back. Sub first no matter what on physcial Pokemon because they probably will switch. Get your free Calm Mind and Surf or Ice Beam to your heart's content.

or...

Celebii@Leftovers AKA Helios
252 Hp, 252 Defense, 4 Special Defense
Bold Nature
Recover
Leech Seed
Grass Knot
U-Turn/EarthPower?

I've done better with Suicune but this baby can absorb status. Leech Seed can wear an opponent down and U-turn when you can do nothing else. Grass Knot scares away the Swampert's that haven't been OHKO'd by Meta's Explosion.

Snorlax@Leftovers AKA Panda
252Hp, 252 Special Defense, 4 Defense
Adamant Nature
Curse
Fire Punch
Rest
Body Slam

This is the scariest Panda you will ever meet. Get in a couple of curses and rest the damage off. Fire Punch and Body Slam have coverage. My Special wall...yeah

Scizor@Leftovers AKA Pelops
252 Hp, 172, Special Defense, 84 Attack
Adamant Nature
Roost
Bullet Punch
X-scissor
Sword Dance

A regular Scizor with a little twist. With the ev's I developed with HectorTU, this thing can live three hits from a Thunderbolt from a LO Gengar and two against Focus Blast which is more than enough time to turn around and Bullet Punch it.

Infernape@Life Orb AKA I have no name for him looking for suggestions^^
64 Attack, 252 Speed, 178 (I think) Special Attack
Naive Nature
Taunt
Grass Knot
Close Combat
Flamethrower

Mixape with Hp Ice. Cleans up nice late game and enough Attack ev's to OHKO standard Bliss with Close Combat

or...

Heatran@Choice Scarf AKA Skorch
252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Attack
Naive Nature
Fire Blast
Earth Power
Explosion
Dragon Pulse

Once again standard without Hp Ice. Infernape has more freedom but Scarftran provides the extra speed this team lacks.

Gengar@Life Orb AKA Goongar
40 Attack, 216 Special Attack, 252 Speed
Hasty Nature
Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
Explosion
Focus Blast

My favorite Pokemon on this whole team. With 40 ev's in attack and Hasty Nature this Gengar can OHKO Blissey with Stealth Rock damage when using Explosion. The rest of the moves give great coverage.

Alright so looking for which Pokemon to use and anything else you guys can find wrong. This is more or less the team I used in the Top Ten tourney and did very well. Do NOT make useless posts. All help is appreciated. I posted this on Wiipals.net a while ago and this is the refined version.

Great, I counted 8 Pokémon, and also that you could switch Metagross's Stealth Rock to Zen Head butt that matches his own type.

Put Suicune for an additional move of Surf or Hydro Pump since Rest and Chesto Berry is a fine combo.

You could actually teach Celebi to learn Psychic for Recover for more types of attack for single battle and it would be no problem when the opponent only got one Pokémon left during the match, if it is a Dark Type, you could use U-Turn for an advantage.

You could teach Snorlax Crunch if you want by removing Fire Punch since Crunch have the effect of Decreasing Defense.

Scizor could be fine right now if you gave him a Focus Sash if you are against a Fire-Type Pokémon, or a Focus Band for your luck of survival.

Infernape could learn Earthquake to be another one of his strongest Physical Attack by removing Taunt.

Heatran should learn Flash Cannon since it is a Power-Up Steel-Type Move.

Gengar looks good.

That could be more helpful enough to make a strong team and just let the items be useful for the best action of all Pokémon Battles, just giving you luck. :)

Re: Sumeet's first non-noobish RMT (sorta) - 02-13-09

Well eight Pokemon but only six will make the cut. Metagross needs that Stealth Rock to be an effective lead. I think Subcune works on this team better than Rest Chesto Berry Cune and Celebii needs to have Recovery to keep himself alive and Phsycic doesn't make his coverage any wider. Anyways he isn't meant to take out other Pokemon he is supposed to switch in on Physical moves and cripple walls. Focus Band is a hax item and Crunch messes his coverage up. If Close Combat sort of does everything Earthquake does with a harder hit so it's useless. Steel moves have very little coverage

I've tried out Lucario I think it's just too slow to work but it could probably handle Latias better
