Jolt20's RMT~Team#2 - 07-15-09

Whats up guys? I have my new test team here..fairly decent record of 16-2 right now, one of the two losses being due to hax. This team has faired pretty well in this metagame, but I do believe it can use a little more work. Thanks in advance for anyone that helps me out ^_^

AT A GLANCE:

The purpose of this team is mainly to use careful accurate prediction to find ways to set up lucario and infernape. The walls are there to block the common threats of the metagame and to force the switches, to where I predict bringing in infernape or lucario to sweep. And now....for the team!

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Ev's: 252 hp/252 def/6 spD
Relaxed Nature
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam
-Stealth Rock
-Roar
(Has HP electric 70 if any of you think i should use it)

Standard lead pert here. I would SR on the first turn, unless I predict taunt and ice beam or eq from there. Or, I would switch out to one of my other walls most likely. This thing makes aero leads look like they should be NU, but it heavily fears lead roserade and other grass type leads. In my opinion, the best lead in the game.

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Ev's: 252 spA/252 speed/6 hp
Modest Nature
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Focus Blast
-Trick

This little demon makes a very nice gyara revenge killer, along with messing with those pesky scarfed rotoms and other scarf-trickers. I can use this thing to force switches so easily, plus its typing greatly supports lucarios, making it easy for it to come in and set up. With the scarf, I am able to hit weaviles, latias, alakazam, azelf, and other gengars with ease, as well as destroying scarf hera's who think they can take me out with pursuit.

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
Ev's: 168 hp/120 def/220 spD
Careful Nature
-Curse
-Rest
-Body Slam
-Fire Punch

CurseLax is a beast, plain and simple. I seldom use curse until of I know that all physical fighting types are out of the way *coughmachamp&lucariocough* Normally when I predict a switch, I will body slam hoping for the fairly common parahax, then destroying the lucario with fire punch if I do get the parahax. Otherwise I bring in zapdos to take the big fighting blow. Snorlax is of course this teams special wall.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Ev's: 248 hp/228 def/32 speed
Bold Nature
-Thunderbolt or Discharge??
-Heatwave
-Toxic
-Roost

The main point of this zapdos is to check scizors, and to wall and stall opposing physical threats, such as mence and gyaras that lack stone edge. This is also commonly my safety valve for when im not sure on predictions, and it also is a great wall breaker having toxic. My question is should I run discharge to hit those mean steal types and maybe parahax them?

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
Ev's: 252 speed/252 spA/6 hp
-Fire Blast
-Grass Knot
-Vaccuum Wave
-Nasty Plot

This is one of my core sweepers. If I can get 2 nasty plots, its gg. If i can get 1 nasty plot, I feel really sorry for incoming switch-ins. Unfortuneately, unless I can get SR out there right away, I cant OHKO gyaras with grass knot after a nasty plot.
Fireblast 2hko's mence after a nasty plot. Vacuum wave is there for the oh so common scarf tran, and also for dugtrios that would wreck me otherwise. Blissey is also nicely handled by my lucario/swampert combo, so closecombat is not needed. A Fire blast after a nasty plot is VERY difficult to wall without a tenta or bliss.

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
Ev's 252 atk/252 speed/6 hp
Adamant Nature
-Crunch
-Close Combat
-Swords Dance
-Extremespeed

This usually picks up most of the KO's each battle. I predict a switch, and SD up, leaving the powerful attacking arsenal to do its work. Magnezone hurts and so does mence and gyara, but other than that this thing can reak havik on anything that dares to stop it. By far, the most crucial member to this team.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, there ya have it. I haven't found any specific threats to this team as of yet, other than Gyarados. I would greatly appreciate all of you giving constructive criticism to this team, and letting me know what other threats you see in it. I'm really needing one or two more good teams to follow behind my best team, and I need your help to do it! Thanks ^__^
Very solid team you have there :P
nothing really threatens it except for maybe
a Lucario or a gallade and gyra which you already mentioned
This team does seem extreemly well built and each pokey covers another well.
Sp.att Nape and Physical Luc are brilliant together (having used them myself) Just be careful of ScarfMence with them
The walls cover up well with Gengar and Snorlax also looking out for each other
Swampert lead are usually Very Reliable but maybe a Mix Nape lead could cause a little concern
Overall i cant see this team losing to much
Re: Jolt20's RMT~Team#2 - 07-15-09
Well Balanced Team.
Suggestions:
Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
Ev's: 252 speed/252 spA/6 hp
-Flamethrower*
-Grass Knot
-Vaccuum Wave
-Nasty Plot
*Reason: IMO Flamethrower is reliable with 100% accuracy with 95 dmg
...But if you like Power over Accuracy then Fireblast>flamethrower
Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Ev's: 252 spA/252 speed/6 hp
Modest Nature
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-HP Fire*
-Trick
*Focus blast seems to miss alot IMO.. but HP fire gives you things to hit like steels, grass..and can be quite a surprise
Good Luck
The only suggestion I can think up is on Lucario, make Crunch into Bullet Punch. You'll hit Ghost types hard before they can do anything thanks to priority.
