Dewgong Unleashed. -
09-20-09
INTRODUCTION:
Ah, my fourth RMT... I think "Claws of lightning" was my best one so far. Anyway, this team (finally) uses Dewgong (yes, I defend the NU) He's not supposed to be the best pokemon here, unlike luxray in my last RMT, it's just that I wanted to use him. Because, I AM Sealseel, after all. So without further ado... Ladies and gentlemen... DEWGONG UNLEASHED!!
OVERVIEW

TEAM

Crobat @ Choice band
The opener
252 Speed | 252 Attack | 6 SP defense
Inner Focus ability
Cross Poison
Roost
Air Slash
Steel Wing / Night Slash
Crobat, I think, is an excellent opener. Speed and attack. Sure, it can't set up stealth rock, but it's sheer speed and power make up for that. And speaking of which, putting it first gives it excellent protection on stealth rock.

Meganium @ Leftovers
The support
252 HP | 80 Defense | 178 SP Defense
Overgrow ability
Reflect
Aromatherapy
Energy Ball
Leech Seed
Pretty obvious what she does. Aromatherapy curing status problems, leech seed for healing, Energy ball for STAB.

Sandslash @ Salac Berry
The attack and defense
252 Attack | 252 defense | 6 Speed
Sand Veil ability
Impish nature
Earthquake
Rock Slide
X-Scissor
Stealth Rock
Sandslash. Don't see enough of them. Earthquake is a good STAB move with good accuracy, Rock Slide is nice and powerful, X-Scissor, against grass and brick break for countering Ice.

Drifblim @ leftovers
The Wall
252 SP Defense | 252 Defense | 6 HP
Aftermath ability
Hypnosis
Will-O-Wisp
Shadow Ball
Explosion
Drifblim isn't used that much, but then again, this IS a UU team. A wall, that inflicts status problems and Explodes + Aftermaths. Shadow Ball for STAB.

Blaziken @ Choice band
The Physical Sweeper
252 Attack | 252 Speed | 6 SP defense
Blaze Abiltity
Jolly Nature
Blaze Kick
Superpower
ThunderPunch
Stone Edge
Explains itself. Donphan can be a serious threat to blaziken, but my team covers him fine.

Dewgong @ leftovers
The Leader
252 Speed | 252 Hp | 6 Defense
Thick Fat ability
Modest Nature
Surf
Ice Beam
HP electric
Toxic
The head honcho. The big cheese. The meatball on the spaghetti. It's Dewgong.
Surf and Ice beam for STAB. And Toxic, to put the enemy in a pickle...

Meganium @ Leftovers
The support
252 HP | 80 Defense | 178 SP Defense
Overgrow ability
Synthesis
Aromatherapy
Energy Ball
Earthquake
Pretty obvious what she does. Aromatherapy curing status problems, Synthesis for healing, Energy ball for STAB and Earthquake for countering.
Get rid of Earthquake and put in Light screen for the best support evah!

Sandslash @ Salac Berry
The attack and defense
252 Attack | 252 defense | 6 Speed
Sand Veil ability
Impish nature
Earthquake
Rock Slide
HP (bug)
Brick Break
Sandslash. Don't see enough of them. Earthquake is a good STAB move with good accuracy, Rock Slide is nice and powerful, HP Bug, against grass and brick break for countering Ice.
Why Hp bug? Sandslash has horrible sp attack. Put in X-Scissor insteadd.

Metagross @ leftovers
The Wall
252 HP | 252 Defense | 6 SP defense
Clear Body ability
Adamant Nature
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Explosion
The basic Meta. Nothing much to say. It's nice to blow up when things get ugly.

Lucario @ Black Belt
The Physical Sweeper
252 Attack | 252 Speed | 6 HP
Inner Focus Ability
Jolly Nature
Aura Sphere
Close Combat
Bullet Punch
Earthquake
Aura sphere for those annoying speed demons, with STAB , Close Combat also with STAB. Bullet punch, with... STAB. Earthquake for countering Fire and ground.
Change earthquake to crunch. Sandslash covers Fire types pretty well.

Dewgong @ leftovers
The Leader
252 Speed | 252 Hp | 6 Defense
Thick Fat ability
Modest Nature
Surf
Ice Beam
Perish Song
Toxic
The head honcho. The big cheese. The meatball on the spaghetti. It's Dewgong.
Surf and Ice beam for STAB. Perish song, YOU'RE GOING DOWN WITH ME!! And Toxic, to put the enemy in a pickle...
Perish Song is useless the opponent will just switch out. Use Hp Electric instead.

Your biggest problem is you're using OU Pokemon in a UU and under setting, which means you HAVE to fight in the OU, which means everything that's remotely a threat will destroy you. Mixape has the potential to hit your team so hard it's insane, Salamence's power is only stopped by your two OU Pokemon (and even then Fire Blast handles them), Starmie and Latias can T-Bolt and Ice Beam 2/3's of your team to death, and there's still quite a few others. You're primarily weak to Rock, Fire, and Ice, with Ice easily covering half your team, and since it's usually accompanied by Fire on Mixed Sweepers, you can get hit with a heavy Ice attack, and then see HP Fire rip the Steel you just sent out, and Dewgong won't survive against many OU attacks.
You're best bet is to replace Lucario and Metagross for something else. Blaziken is a decent replacement for Lucario, and depending on how you want to handle Metagross, find a UU replacement for it that does a similar job.

Thanks to AnaBanana for the sig :D

CBBat is one of my favorite type of Crobats, try the moveset I recommended.

Meganium @ Leftovers
Calm
The support
252 HP | 80 Defense | 178 SP Defense
Overgrow ability
Reflect
Aromatherapy
Energy Ball
Leech Seed
With Sandstorm teams around a lot and what not, Synthesis won't be good at all.

Sandslash @ Leftovers
The attack and defense
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 Atk
Sand Veil ability
Impish nature
Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Stone Edge
-Rapid Spin
Sandslash is better off as a physical wall that can lay out SR and Spin and deal some nice combo damage with EdgeQuake.

Metagross @ Choice Band / Leftovers
The Wall
252 HP / 236 Atk / 12 Def / 8 Spe
Clear Body ability
Adamant Nature
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Bullet Punch / Thunder Punch
Explosion
I don't know why you had Metagross as a wall...it's one of the best physical attacks in the game and you gave it no Attack EVs.

Lucario @ Life Orb
The Physical Sweeper
252 Attack | 252 Speed | 6 HP
Inner Focus Ability
Adamant Nature
Swords Dance
Close Combat
Extreme Speed
Crunch / Ice Punch
If you wanted this as a physical sweeper...give it physical moves. This set is one of the best late game sweepers in the game.

Dewgong @ leftovers
The Leader
252 Speed | 252 Hp | 6 Defense
Thick Fat ability
Modest Nature
Surf
Ice Beam
HP electric
Toxic
The head honcho. The big cheese. The meatball on the spaghetti. It's Dewgong.
Surf and Ice beam for STAB. Perish song, YOU'RE GOING DOWN WITH ME!! And Toxic, to put the enemy in a pickle...
This set looks fine, maybe give it some SpAtk EVs to deal some more damage.

Is that how it works, Jak? Didn't know that. Thanks.
Seems like I have a lot of modifications to make.

gmJak has some major revisions that would help your team almost to the full extent. The Lucario he is persuading you to use is one of the best game breaking sweepers of all time. After 2 Swords Dance it can basically OHKO almost every Pokemon in the metagame.
I also got to admit your teams are looking more competitive now.

Hooray! A compliment! Anyway, Sumeet has a good point, and I think I'll get rid of lucario and metagross and replace them with... Blaziken and Skarmory? I'm not sure.
