My Nub RMT - 4 Weeks Ago

Ok this is my first RMT and I hope HELPFUL raters come by to advise me on any threats to this team I am making. I am also looking forward to any suggestions that can improve this team.

Here's the team and I hope no one tries to steal it O:
OVERVIEW

Changes made in RED please give more rates to improve this team
Newer changes made in BLUE

Breloom @choice scarf
Poison Heal
6hp/252atk/252spe
jolly(+speed -special atk)
-seed bomb/stone edge
-spore
-super power
-thunder punch/stone edge

Ok this speedy breloom is replacing SD breloom. This breloom will be able to put leads with base speeds lower than 130 to sleep in hopes of preventing them to set up any entry hazards. This breloom can also out speed +1 adamant gyarados and ohko with thunder punch.

Weaknesses
Fire:Latias/Gyarados/Tyranitar
Flying:Tyranitar/Rotom
Psychic:Tyranitar/Latias/Scizor
Ice:Scizor
Poison:Scizor

Tyranitar @leftovers
Sand Stream
252hp/40atk/216spdef
careful(+special def -special atk)
-crunch/payback
-curse
-rest
-sleep talk

Hopefully with this tyranitar I can pull off a sweep. All I have to do is come in on a pokemon it can scare away like latias or rotom, then I can try to set up my curses. This tyranitar also acts as a great status absorber since it can rest off any burns or toxics, and with this ev spread it can take a hit from a gengar's focus blast.

Weaknesses
Steel:Rotom/Gyarados/Scizor
Ground:Rotom/Gyarados/Latias/Breloom
Fighting:Rotom/Gyarados/Latias
Water:Gyarados/Latias/Breloom
Bug:Rotom/Gyarados/Scizors
Grass:Latias/Scizor/Breloom

Rotom-H @leftovers
Levitate
252hp/80def/176spdef
Calm (+special def -attack)
-shadow ball
-thunderbolt
-rest
-will-o-wisp

Rotom here is my main scizor counter. Since I am planning to use tyranitar I knew scizor would be problem, so rotom is here to resist scizor's STABs and burn it. I am running more special defense evs on this rotom because I want it to be able to take special attacks well. I also figured the special defense investment is better since rotom will be burning any physical attackers making some defense evs not that necessary.

Weaknesses
Ghost:Tyranitar/Scizor
Dark:Tyranitar/Scizor/Breloom

Gyarados @leftovers
Intimidate
252hp/252def/6spdef
careful/impish
-waterfall
-rest
-sleep talk
-roar/thunder wave

I've been wanting to try a rest-talk gyarados for a while, so I figured this team would be good for it. Because of its bulk, this gyarados takes hits very well and serves as a great lucario counter. This kind of gyarados is also incredibly hard to take down and electric/rock attacks are basically the only ways that can really ko this gyarados. Gyarados is also my way of phazing through a team and can help ruin any potential sweeps by roaring.

I might consider using thunder wave to cripple any potential sweepers and to also slow down any choice scarfed pokemon.

Weaknesses
Electric:Rotom/Tyranitar/Latias
Rock:Breloom

Scizor @choice band
Technician
248hp/252atk/8spe
adamant (+attack -special atk)
-bullet punch
-u-turn
-super power
-pursuit

Scizor is on the team cause I figured I might want this team to be slightly more offensive and plus it has a priority move that hits pokemon that breloom's mach punch can't hurt. Scizor also serves as a good scouter by spamming u-turn. I might change this to a SD variant and making breloom a choiced scarfed one, but I am not sure :/

Weaknesses
Fire:Latias/Tyranitar/Gyarados

Latias @leftovers
Levitate
148hp/108spatk/252spe
timid(+speed -attack)
-dragon pulse
-calm mind
-hp fire
-recover

I decided to go for the CM latias since I already have some revenge killers(scizor/breloom) and this thing can be able to set up a sweep :D I might go for hp fire to take out any scizor thinking they can come in and scare latias away, but substitute can be helpful since it can protect me from statuses and can protect latias from pursuit...right? o.o

Weaknesses
Dragon:Scizor
Ice:Scizor
Bug:Scizor/Gyarados/Rotom
Dark:Scizor/Breloom/Tyranitar
Ghost:Scizor/Tyranitar

Ok this is the end of my RMT please give me any suggestions/improvements or warn me about some threats and how i can counter them. And someone be a saint and recommend me a better lead than jirachi .__.

Oh and sorry for not having pictures :/

Pictures coming soon d('-'d)

couldn't find a rotom form sprite but meh I put the "H" thing .__.

Re: My Nub RMT - 4 Weeks Ago

For a team like this, Toxic Spikes are a huge benefit. Perhaps you could change your lead to a Roserade, I don't see what exactly Scarf Jirachi does for your team.

And to be totally honest, this is probably one of the better teams on the forums.

Re: My Nub RMT - 4 Weeks Ago

You're a bit SD Infernape weak. Funny, 'cause SHB's team is as well. You rarely see them nowadays, but you should be prepared...

Jirachi is taken out by Flare Blitz / Fire Punch after an SD (I guess you COULD Trick it).
Tyranitar is nailed by Mach Punch / Close Combat.
Rotom-w doesn't like +2 LO Flare Blitz very much, and you can't hit it with Will-o'-Wisp.
Gyarados can't take a +1 LO ThunderPunch with the current EV spread, I'm pretty sure.
Forretress is easily KO'd by Flare Blitz, even if its unboosted.

Latias is the only thing here that can handle SD Ape. The others literally get ripped to shreds.

At least run 252 HP / 252 Def on your Gyarados, maybe that'll actually give it a bit of a chance.

Thanks Bunbun for the awesome sig! =3

You could do better with the lead. Swampert, Infernape, Roserade, and a number of others can set up SR or Toxic Spikes (though, be wary with Toxic Spikes, it's not un-heard of to find a team that's completely resistant to them).

Tyranitar @leftovers
Sand Stream
252hp/40atk/216spdef
careful(+special def -special atk)
-crunch/payback
-curse
-rest
-sleep talk

The main problem with this is that while it can handle Gengar's Focus Blast, nowadays it's more common to see a Scizor packing Bullet Punch aimed at you instead.

Rotom-w @leftovers
Levitate
252hp/80def/176spdef
Calm (+special def -attack)
-shadow ball
-thunderbolt
-rest
-will-o-wisp

I'd get rid of Rest for HP Fire if you want a Scizor counter with this thing. You're being put to sleep and unless you have a cleric of some kind to wipe out your status infliction, you're stuck for several turns, which can give the opponent ample time to boost up like a mad man.

Gyarados @leftovers
Intimidate
252hp/100def/156spdef
careful/impish
-waterfall
-rest
-sleep talk
-roar

You have too many Rest Talkers here, and all it'll take is a single pokemon that's resistant to Water attacks to make Gyarados semi-useless. Roar is the only thing that will help, and if they switch into a Spinner, you may end up doomed instead.

Forretress @shed shell
Sturdy
252hp/56def/200spdef
impish (+defense -special atk)
-spikes
-rapid spin
-reflect/light screen/gyro ball/earthquake
-payback

In general this thing has terrible Sp. Def. so it won't take much to kill it. If Gengar has HP Fire, then it'll rip through this like butter.

Latias @choice scarf/life orb
Levitate
6hp/252spatk/252spe
timid(+speed -attack)
-draco meteor
-surf
-thunderbolt/hp fire
-trick/recover

The problem with Choiced Revenge Killers is that they can tend to be a bit obvious and so dealing with them is easier than you'd think. It all depends on what they have left and what's out then.
You give your opponent a rather large amount of set-up time. Salamence can show up on Rotom and Dragon Dance away and can more than likely get about two of them out in some way and then thrash your team. A couple of key sweepers on the team can spell out doom for you, especially if they get a chance to set-up.

That's what Will-o'-Wisp is for...

Re: My Nub RMT - 4 Weeks Ago

Also, your team doesn't really use Sandstorm to its advantage.

It's not like it aids a set-up or anything. It's not really a Stall team either, as you don't have Toxic Spikes.

Re: My Nub RMT - 4 Weeks Ago

While he's asleep he's not going to stay in and give Salamence a free sweep, he'll just go straight into Latias and scare it away with the threat of Scarf and Draco Meteor.

True, but in the end, it's almost the same as KOing Rotom. Not to mention Latias is going INTO the attack. If Salamence Outrages right then and there, it'll KO Latias. OP will have to switch to Latias the MOMENT Salamence shows up unless he wants to risk seeing if it's a Choiced one or such, or Kill-Switch into Latias, and odds are that's gonna trigger a switch from the opponent to something that could resist Latias' attack.

Well, if Salamence has switched into a Sleeping Rotom, I think it's pretty obvious that it's going to Dragon Dance. No Salamence is going to come in on Rotom firing off an Outrage, as in that way it would lock itself in (unless they've already seen Latias, and predict the switch). Of course, there is the possibility of its being a MixMence, in which case it could use Draco Meteor.

Nevertheless, I don't think the OP would stay in upon witnessing the entrance of Salamence, as a Sleeping Rotom cannot do anything to it.
