    Weird Rain Team :0

    This is my first first 5th Gen team please tell me if this needs any changes.

    @Choice Specs
    Modest/Drizzle
    4hp/252sp.atk/252spd
    Ice Beam/Focus Blast/Hidden Power(dragon)/Hydro Pump

    Main Part of my team due to its ability I gave it Hydro Pump instead of Surf because it can OHKO Ttars with it.

    @Leftovers
    Bold/Prankster
    252hp/248def/8spD
    Leech Seed/Encore/Sub/Taunt

    His aim is to cripple sweepers and try to lock them into one move with Encore. Taunt is for to break those pokemon like skarmory who rely on attack like whirlwind and spikes.

    @Expert Belt
    Adamant/Moxie
    4hp/252atk/252spd
    Crunch/Drain Punch/Ice Punch/Dragon Dance

    Physical Sweeper of this team. Great Typing and wonderful moves for a sweep. After two dragon dances this guy becomes best. Ice Punch for the Bulky Dragons and Crunch for STAB.

    @Life Orb
    Timid/Justified
    4hp/252sp.atk/252spd
    Calm Mind/Taunt/Giga Drain/Focus Blast

    Special Sweeper Calm Mind to boost its attack and giga drain to get the Hp back its lost from LO recoil

    @leftovers
    Careful/Sand Veil
    252hp/100spD/100def/48spd
    Sub/Dragon Claw/EQ/Sword Dance

    Quite a weird set for a Garchomp but its very effective. People dont usually expect to see a sub on Garchomp. I Sword Dance twice under a sub and this thing becomes beast

    @Leftovers
    Impish/Iron Barbs
    252hp/240def/8spD
    Power Whip/Spikes/Leech Seed/Stealth Rock

    My defensive wall. His main aim is to try and block the physical threats in the ou tier.

    Re: Weird Rain Team :0

    Starting notes:

    - You have no rain abusers. Why is this a "rain team"?
    - 3 Pokemon are weak to Ice/Fire.

    Now then, for further analysis..

    Specs Politoed is kind of weird, it's more of a wall. I don't even see anything abusing rain so if you'd rather not replace your entire team I suggest a different lead.

    Better Whimiscott EV's: 252 HP/ 232 SpDef/ 24 Def

    Scrafty is fine I guess, I personally would go for a bulkier one.

    Why do you need three grass and two fighting types @ Virizion

    Garchomp is odd in this team

    Ferrothorn is the only thing really using the rain to it's advantage because it's 4x fire weakness, fire does less damage. This applies to the other grass types but nothing is stopping them from ice, which also gets Garchomp.

    Needs a lot of work.

    Harsh but true. However I dont want rain abusers in my team. The Rain acts as a support to my pokemon that are weak to Fire. Also Garchmomp is in this team to protect Politaod from electrick attacks

    Re: Weird Rain Team :0

    I could see it as being a rain assist team, not a rain team though.
    First, I don't think that you'd need both Ice Beam and HP Dragon on Politoed. I'd stay with Ice Beam because the power is there and will KO any dragon except Kingdra, Palkia and Dialga. And possibly a Sp Defensive Hydregion. I'd suggest a HP Fighting to handle the one thing that walls, Ferrothorn in rain.

    A big problem that I see with the team is what would you do if a Life Orb Starmie with 252 Sp Attack/252 speed and a + speed nature thats holding Surf, Ice Beam, Psychic or PsychoShock, and HP Fighting? Although it is rare to see a non-scarfed, no rapid spinning/recovering, but it happens. STAB Surf +Rain + Life Orb=massive damage. And it'll outspeed all of your team. And if it's a pure attacker it won't care about the Taunt or Encore from Whimsicott. Ice Beam would take out Virizion, Garchomp and Whimsicott. Surf would do massive damage to Scrafty. PsychoShock/Psychic would destroy Virizion. The only problem would be Ferrothorn, but HP fighting or any fighting move would eventually wear it down.

    Also, i would suggest a few more EVs on speed on that Whimsicott. If you encounter another rain team, it can be holding a Timid Thundurus with the right EVs could taunt you before you taunt it. Without the + speed nature, and with max IVs it'll only reach 268 speed. Put it this way, a - Speed natured Thundurus with 0 speed IVs and 252 EV Speed is running a minimum of 261. That's with a negative speed nature. If he had a +, with 0 speed IVs and 252 speed EVs, he'd be 319. He can shoot off a taunt before you can and you'd be stuck and you have no moves, so you'd end up Struggling yourself to death. And you can be taunted behind a Sub, so, I'd suggest make it less bulky and faster.

    And for Garchomp, I wouldn't even have him on the team. He's ability is Sand Veil, he's not scarfed and he's not running max speed. In this new gen, He's considered slow with a base speed of like 102. This gen is riddled with fast opponents like forms of Deoxys, the musketeers, Accelgor, etc. A good guy to put in here would be a Sniper Kingdra who'd appreciate the boost. Or if you want the physical attacker, use Gyarados. You have Ferrothorn to absorb the Thunder and Rock attacks and Gyarados could absorb the fighting and Fire that threaten Ferrothorn.

    oh wait I just saw that your Politoed has Focus Blast, forget what I had just said lol. But another thing is that Politoed can't be a sweeper it doesn't have the speed or special attack. I just saw that other person's post. It has a 90 Special Attack and 70 Speed. It is in no way a sweeper. It's a weather setter

    This team would'nt be that effective even though you arent using any rain abusers. I suggest you using a ShellSmash/Passer like Gorebyss or Huntail.

    The problem with this is that you need to use the DW Huntail/Gorebyss due to the Drizzle/Swift Swim ban. Which kind of makes them useless to use
