RMT BL team - 08-05-2008

Well, title says it all. I got little, to no experience in wifi battling, but i have a lot of experience from battlng, but with my cousins who dont know how to really train their pokemon. Ok here goes:

Umbreon@lefties/chople berry
sassy/relaxed, 252 hp 160 def 92 sp def <-- not sure on spread cept for hp
Mean look
Baton pass
Wish
Toxic

OR
Sceptile@???
Timid, 252 sp atk 252 spe 6 hp
Energy Ball
Focus Blast
Dragon Pulse
Leech Seed
(can sceptile learn baton pass?)

Edit: ok, umbreon scouts for possible pokes. Takes a hit after mean looking then wish if needed then pass to a pokemon to murder the opponent with full hp. Chople berry to survive a fighting atk and pass as needed

Blaziken@expert belt?
JOLLY, 252 atk 252 spe 6 hp
Thunderpunch
EQ
Flare blitz/blaze kick
Brick break/Sky uppercut

My pride and joy. Max ivs in atk and sp def and 29 ivs in speed

Frosslass@choice specs/wise glasses
Timid, 252 sp atk 252 speed 6 hp
Ice beam
Thunderbolt
shadow ball
HP grass/focus blast/HP fighting/maybe destiny bond? <--no idea how to get it

special sweeper of the team. Needs to NOT be hit AT ALL

Smeargle@salac berry <--looking for one
Jolly/timid, 252 speed 252 hp 6 def
Baton pass
Belly drum
Spore
Substitute/extremespeed

standard belly passer. Surprise to hit final blow with extremespeed after belly drumming and possible salac berry boost

Tentacruel@BLACK SLUDGE need to catch a bunch of frogs for this...
Calm 204 HP 96 SpA 172 SpD 36 Spe
Surf
Ice beam/Sludge bomb
Rapid spin
Toxic spikes

Spinner of the team. Additional special atks

Drapion@lefties
Impish, 252 hp 252 def 6 atk
Toxic spikes
CRUNCH/cross poison
Knock off
Whirlwind

This tank is a force to be reckoned with. Even SDchomp wont ohko this with eq, as long it has no CB or life orb or even expert belt.

This team has a lot to be desired for, with 3 pokemon weak to ground. This team can only be good in BL team battles though. Will lose to OU and UBer teams

Do I still need a status-er? Seems like my tanks will wall most sweepers

Pls rate and comment!! Thanks!! :p

Re: RMT BL team - 08-05-2008

its pretty good

those IVs are great by the way

umbreon is one of my favorite pokemon and is on my main team even though he is UU. ive tried the moveset you are using the only problem is if its taunted you are screwed also substitutes and steels mess him up

ive tried this moveset for mine and it has been very successful (im giving out my darkest secret)

Umbreon (careful) lefties
Payback
Moonlight/Rest
Yawn
Curse

i cant believe i forgot about the EVs. anyway
252 hp is a must
this is from memory so i think this is how it went
160 Def
92 in Sp. Def
and then the remaining 6 in atk

feel free to mix and match though

The idea is if you can get umbreon boosted up with a couple of curses he is unbeatable ive taken down counteless pokes with this set. yawn and curse are diffucult to get...i forget the exact route of breeding to get it but it takes like 3 layers (which really isnt bad) also paybacks power is doubled if umbreon gets hit in that same turn and because of curse's - speed its extra power to you. moonlight is in there to heal hp but its worth thinking about exchanging it for rest because of the many TTRs and weather based teams. also if you have aromatherapy or heal bell on your team i would highly suggest Rest over Moonlight

i just spilled my favorite pokemon all over friendcodes...noone come to this thread anymore

Re: RMT BL team - 08-06-2008

Its actually BL here on friendcodes, and i know how to breed wish curse on it: Smeargle. Thanks for the darkest secret though The only problem is that drapion and quite a bit, tentacruel are the only ones i can pass the curse boosts to. Umbreon uses pass to pass on wish, after mean looking, so no escape from a full one on one beating. How bout frosslass? is HP grass or good, or should i change it to something else though?

you should go for that other moveset suggested b4, i tried it and once a couple of curses, unstoppable

Blaziken@expert belt?/
JOLLY, 252 atk 252 spe 6 hp
Thunderpunch
EQ
Flare blitz/blaze kick
Brick break/Sky uppercut

go with the belt if your planning on passing to it

Frosslass@/wise glasses
Timid/modest, 252 sp atk 252 speed 6 hp
Ice beam
thunder wave
shadow ball
spike/confuse ray

it annoys so well

Smeargle@salac berry <--looking for one
Jolly/timid, 252 speed 252 hp 6 def
Baton pass
Belly drum
Spore
Substitute/extremespeed

standard belly passer.

Tentacruel@BLACK SLUDGE need to catch a bunch of frogs for this...
Calm 204 HP 96 SpA 172 SpD 36 Spe

Spinner of the team. Additional special atks good support for team

Drapion@lefties
Impish, 252 hp 252 def 6 atk
Toxic spikes
CRUNCH

Re: RMT BL team - 08-06-2008

hmm, ill try this team out first. Im being stubborn abt not changing the umbreon coz if uve noticed, its the only thing thats gonna keep my pokes with hp, minus the lefties and black sludge... Ill test out both sets and see which works better on this team

Im having problems on the frosslass and just realized that i have no idea on how to give it Hp grass 70... and i need sumthing to kill grounds besides surfs and ice beams. Im gonna run into problems against something like a swampert, gastrodon, and whiscash coz of their typing... Any comments on this?

i cant help you with a Hidden powers because i dont fully understand them. Froslass doesnt learn any grass moves (im sure you already knew that) so HP Grass is your best option. if you cant get 70 i would suggest having something at least relatively and to not use it on anything except 4x effective. its like ice shard on donphan...dont use it on anything except if youre about to be KOed or 4x dragons

other options would be to put some grass moves like energy ball on some of your other pokemon and switch to them if you encounter a ground/water combo

Re: RMT BL team - 08-12-2008

hmmm, yeah. Thats actually my problem ryt now. I can probably switch out smeargle or umbreon out. I need a pokemon with a grass attack and still may be able to pass on an agility boost. Probably my best option here would be a special sceptile.
So how would this look on my team, removing smeargle since it passes at its best to blaziken:
Sceptile@???
Timid, 252 sp atk 252 spe 6 hp
Energy ball
Leech Seed
Dragon Pulse
Focus blast

leech seed for additional team support, and everything else for coverage.
