HELP - Hail Team - 08-17-2008

Abomasnow @ Leftovers
Snow Warning: Sassy
252 HP / 20 SpA / 160 SpD / 76 Spe
Wood Hammer
Blizzard
Leech Seed
Protect

Abomasnow comes in and sets up hail for me and then he hits hard with STAB wood hammer and 100% accurate blizzard. He has leech seed and protect for some life gain if needed.

Jynx @ Leftovers
Forewarn: Timid
252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Mean Look
Perish Song
Lovely Kiss
Substitute

Jynx basically comes in on anything that my team can't handle/ walls and Perish Song's them.

Articuno @ Leftovers
Calm : Pressure
252 HP, 96 DF, 64 SA, 98 SD
Blizzard
Roost
Roar
Heal Bell

Articuno is basically my cleric. He cures people of status and he can scare pokemon away with roar. He can also hit pretty hard with blizzard if need be and he has roost for some HP gain.

Glaceon @ Leftovers
Modest : Snow Cloak
252 HP, 252 SA, 6 SP
Blizzard
Water Pulse
Fake Tears
Wish

Glaceon comes in for wish support and to cripple opposing walls and she has water pulse for fire coverage.

Froslass @ Choice Specs
Timid : Snow Cloak
252 SPA, 4 DF, 252 SPE
Blizzard
Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
Psychic

Special sweeper. Enough said

Walrein @ Leftovers
Ice Body: Bold
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpD
Protect
Substitute
Toxic
Blizzard

Toxic staller/ physical wall. He can hit hard with blizzard if things arn't working out.

So far the only poke that has made a difference is Abomasnow. Nobody else has really had any impact. What is wrong with my team? Im not sure what i should do with it. Help/ comments are greatly appreciated.

Hm...Life Orb over Choice items on Froslass. She likes versatility.

I'd also recommend Surf over Blizzard on Walrein. You've got enough Blizzard running around your team; you need more power against Fire/Rock types.

Something to absorb Fire attacks would help, as well - Gyarados would help. A bulky set, probably with EQ/Waterfall/Taunt/Dragon Dance.

Re: HELP - Hail Team - 08-18-2008

I took your advice into consideration and after much testing i decided to remove 3 pokes that just weren't performing. I removed jynx, articuno, and glaceon in favor of:

Regice @ Leftovers
Calm : Clear Body
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpD
Ice Beam
Focus Blast
Rest
Thunder-Wave

Special Wall and he also helps slow opposing pokes down.

Mamoswine @ Leftovers
Adamant : Snow Cloak
124 HP / 252 Atk / 64 Def / 70 SpD
Earthquake
Curse
Ice Shard
Avalanche

Pretty standard physical sweeper. Curse up and then hit hard with earthquake and avalanche. Ice shard is in there for when i really need to attack first.

Lapras @ Leftovers
Modest : Water Absorb
192 Def / 160 SpA / 158 SpD
Ice Beam
Psychic
Surf
Heal Bell

Special tank, cleric, and fire absorber. Im thinking rest instead of one of the attacking moves but im not sure. Advice please?

I really like the idea of a gyrados but I'm trying to keep my team strictly monotype and froslass now has life orb instead.

Again, you have no fire resistance in this team. A Mixape will tear a hole straight through you with Close Combat and Flamethrower. Gyarados - even Heatran - pick something that can counter your weakness.

Heatran would probably be better, as it's also resistant to Rock.

Re: HELP - Hail Team - 08-19-2008

There all SR weak as well =\ So You Wont Be Able To Switch In Much. I Recommend A Foretress So You Can Set Up Toxic Spikes As Well. So Stallrein Can Do Better. And Fore Can Rapid Spin The SR away..

Re: HELP - Hail Team - 08-19-2008

Tentacruel would be a good addition to this team in place of Heatran, if you'd like. You'd still have a nasty Rock weakness, but Tenta soaks Fire attacks and Spins SR away. Also sets up Toxic Spikes.
