These are simple rules to just show you how to post an RMT thread. Most of the time, people post Pokemon, but don't really give enough details for the raters to rate and help. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Carefully Please
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Pokemon's name, EV's, nature, moveset and item are all required. If you want someone to help you to the optimum, you must include these things so that we can see the full picture.
2. Do not worry about people copying or stealing your moveset, and if it bothers you that much, try to contact a rater you trust. (I would just post here lol)
3. Use this format: <Name/Nickname> @ <item>
<Nature>
<ability if required>
EV Spread <HP/ATK/DEF/SPA/SPD/SPE>
- <Move 1>
- <Move 2>
- <Move 3>
- <Move 4>
If you want to include the IV's that is perfectly fine and might help if you are planning to use the move Hidden Power.
4. Remember to take constructive criticism with an open and clear mind. Arguing over certain comments is ok, but do not flame or spam just to sound cool or something like that. We are here to help.
5. Try to keep your thread updated instead of making a new post, that way people will know your thread and you would have all the comments and improvement on your team in one simple thread.
6. Try not to just copy and paste all your team from Smogon, even though sometimes standard just...works, and please provide some text (2 lines or so) about what this Pokemon does in your team. As not to have people going, "Weavile rapes you n00b!" then you point out how you have a Metagross and Lucario who both have priority moves that bypass speed.
7. Finally remember, presentation is important. Try to add pictures and colors to make people more attracted to keep coming back and besides makes you look better and more professional :p Following these rules with our wide range of raters would most definitely get your team up and running and better than it was before, hopefully. Remember it's ok to have your own opinion, its your team! Raters only advice you, you don't have to take in if you don't want to. How do you do it...?

Ah, good job! Such a clear and pretty thorough 'How to' topic, and from a new member, congrats. | | ¡ǝɹnʇnɟ ǝɥʇ ɹoɟ ǝɹɐdǝɹd FC Magazine Writer FC Staff Hub: Offline | | Posts: 1,840 Join Date: Jul 2006 Region: NTSC-U | | | Re: Your guide to posting a good RMT, 'Rate My Team' Thread. -

I remember there being a thread with this format some time ago, but it was buried under pages and pages of garbage.
This is, of course, the right team member format for RMTs. Karma for you. | | Team Rater - PM 4 TRing Hub: Offline | | Posts: 850 Join Date: Jan 2008 | | | Re: Your guide to posting a good RMT, 'Rate My Team' Thread. -

I'm surprised one of them was not a sticky. This one is a really good one, so this should at least have one.
And again, easy to understand, addresses most issues on bad RTM posts. Gj. | | Member Hub: Offline | | Posts: 38 Join Date: Sep 2008 | | | Re: Your guide to posting a good RMT, 'Rate My Team' Thread. -

Thanks for all the thanks :p
I noticed the fact that some posts where a bit messy there in the RMT thread so I thought this might be helpful.

Domou! ^_^ | Np. To tell the truth, (as stupid as a reason it is) some times I don't want to rate it just because how sloppy it is, because I tend to rearrange it so it's easier to decipher when it's not all on the same line. | | Member Hub: Offline | | Posts: 38 Join Date: Sep 2008 | | | Re: Your guide to posting a good RMT, 'Rate My Team' Thread. -

Very true, when it's like that I usually just say change the natures, the moves, the ev's, the Pokemon, and please no <insert bad nature here>, <insert standard OU Pokemon here>
xD
The more people see this the easier it will become to rate, and hence the more improvement we'll get overall. | | Revolve around F.E.A.R. Hub: Offline | | Posts: 1,441 Join Date: Apr 2008 | | | Re: Your guide to posting a good RMT, 'Rate My Team' Thread. -
