Instructions on how to get photographic evidence or a screen shot -
02-09-09
Here are some instructions on how to get photographic evidence like in hubs with Print Screen for those that say "But i don't know how to get proof of a hacker/unfair gamer/whatever".
If you see proof of a hacker/unfair gamer or trader like in a hub, a pm or a thread:
Press the Print Screen / PrtSc / Prnt Scrn Button on your Keyboard while the evidence is on your screen (It's better to take a screen shot of a thread post too because they can be edited or deleted.) By Print Screening youl save what is seen on your monitor as if you copied something with Ctrl+C or Copy.
*Note* Nothing Special should've happened here.. it will copy without anything happening.
Open up the paint application: To do this Go to start in the bottom left corner of the screen >> Go to All Programs >> Go to Accessories >> Open "Paint".
Paste the screen shot by holding down Ctrl+V You can also do a right click and click on "Paste". This will past a copy of the screen shot which you can edit if necessary. For instance, on the screen shot you may have other applications, pictures, emails, etc that are/reveal private information or even things that may not be allowed on the forum such as FC illegal sites, pictures, etc.
Save it preferably as a JPEG but any is fine as long as it is uploadable.
Upload it to a website such as Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket. To use this site, you do need to register a username and password so be prepared for that. It is free and you can do lots of things including uploading thousands of piks and movies, and you can also make slideshows or edit piks here too so you can crop and edit them here if you prefer it more than Paint.
Send the image to a moderator, by going to their profile and hitting the "talk bubble" next to their name.
Your done!!
Mac users*
Press Cmd + Shift + 4 to take a print screen. The image will automatically save to the desktop.
To take a print screen of a specific area and not the entire screen, press Cmd + Shift + 3 and you can select what part of the screen you want to capture.
*Thanks to Brad for this

Snakepit said to post it here and he linked it from the new unfair gamers thread. The Unfair Gamers thread was never stickied because theres too much sticky notes in the pokemon forum so this has no chance.

Kiko, after you press PrtSc you must open paint.
When you press PrtSc nothing should happen on the screen it just saves automatically.
Go to start in the bottom left >> Go to All Programs >> Go to Accessories >> Open Paint.
Press and hold Ctrl and then while holding Ctrl you must press V
(Ctrl+V / Paste)
