Award Suggestion thread!

[Snakepit]

To cater to the growing about of people creating threads like "I have an idea for an award!" The staff has decided to save some forum space by creating a thread specifically for these requests.

From now on, if you have an idea for an award, which you think should be added to our awards showcase, please reply to this thread.

Explain your idea, tell us what it's called and how it would be obtained, and any that are liked will be added to the Friendcodes Award Showcase, and the creator will be awarded the "Most creative idea for an award" award.

So, get those creative juices flowing, friendcodes.:)

Given to a User that plays Pokemon D/P/Pt that started out on this site Being not very good at the Game but has eventually ended up being deemed as the Best Battler on FC

The Head Honchkrow award-
Given to a clan leader whos clan has been number one for a very long time (5 months at least?)

Someone who shows exceptional role play skills and keeps role play interesting in the Role Playing forum. It would obviously be obtained by members putting effort & creativity into role play threads to keep them lively and interesting.

The Shaymin Award or the Shaymin Emblem-
given to Members who show great Generosity and equal Gratitude
to other members. e.g member does a lot of giveaways and handsomely thanks any member who has helped him/her out

Okay, so as you well know the Pokemon Forums are the most used out of all of the Wi-Fi section on Friendcodes. Heck, it's even got it's own section and designated Moderator.

While searching through the Awards Showcase I noticed the severe lack of Pokemon-related Awards, and surely if it's such a big thing, why aren't there more?

So, my Awards Suggestions are all Pokemon related! ^^

My first Awards suggestion stems from a comment I recieved on my Pokeshop thread.

Well, this is just about the most genuine trading thread on this forum.

It really made me think that with all the hackers in the Forum, it's really difficult to keep an honest legit trading thread running, so, why not reward those of us that do?

The "Seal of Authenticity" Award

Awarded to those Members of Friendcodes who are well-known for trading only legit Pokemon and run a legit Trading Thread.

The Ash Ketchum Award

Awarded to the Members of Friendcodes that are the best known Battlers on the site.

The Brock Award

Awarded to the Best Breeders on the Site.

---

Awarded to all members of the #1 Ranked Pokemon Clan on Friendcodes.

The Award names kinda suck, so feel free to change them.

Given to a member that has obtained all 13 Highscores in the FC Arcade games. (must pm a staff member to check the arcade page)

I may have an idea but I have an idea to get people playing other games besides pokemon and brawl, avoid making too many of those awards, make awards for The Conduit and other good wifi games, hell make a ACWW and ACCF awards.

I have an idea for an award for gamers who show exceptional skill at other systems for online play you know 360, PC, PS3. I have no idea what would be the name but you could make it so at least 2 members can vouch for you.

Yes I am aware that people will say "But this is a Nintendo fansite." Now my rebuttal, the site rules do not say that talking about other systems is not allowed. So shut up fanboys.

Another idea could be the Comedian award, it is for someone who is humorous in the ••• forums. I just think it would be kinda cool to give the ••• a single award.


My goal with this though is to expand the site.

This is similar to the Bowser Award; "This award is given to people who just keep on trying to get the hang of something, even if at first they don't do so well."

While this may seem like a good idea, I'm personally against this because there are very few clans and being the clan leader doesn't mean you're good or anything, you might not even be active in that clan.

This could generally go under a lot of awards, though I think it's the closest to Friendliest Friendcodian. "Given to the members that are nicest within the community"

Cool Cat Award. "Given to the members who enjoy their time in Animal Crossing and have amazing towns. -Created by Estavan," there isn't really much else you can do for Animal Crossing.

Anti-Fanboy Award "Given to those who have learned to accept all console and handhelds as equal and do not judge." The two are nearly synonymous.
