i agree, someone can take advantage, they'll change their teams and use them against you

Umm sure believe in what you want, but.
How in the world of just showing what pokemon you have matter if they don't know what it does? Example, is my Gliscor Bulky, Sword Dancer, Baton Passer what? Sure Smogon can shorten it down to a few options, but what if i used my own set? No one will know.
Sure they may be able to "change the team" but thats what good strategy is. Counter the weakness of your team, Shaymin is somewhat of an example as it has a move set where it can counter all of its weakness(ice,fire,fly,bug)
Also i post up my team because I am most certain that they will put up a good fight. It doesn't matter weither you win or lose its just having fun and learning what your errors are. Speaking of errors since your opponent sees your team and finds weaknesses isn't that relatively a good thing?

Back on topic, its pretty much a feature where you can just show off your team. Its somewhat fair so people will know what you have and see if you are a fair player or not, or see if they would want to fight you because how your team is structured.

Its like a signature only when you click on a little link at the bottom of it, it makes you level up your card (seems as though every time it levels up it makes it seem your better at it). There are also brawl cards and I think I've seen other types (which I cannot remember atm)
