Subtopics
Instead of having one whole conversation for the group, you can start various Discussions. This should keep everything clean, organized, and easier to read.
Subscriptions
This next update will also please many of the members that didn't know whether anyone posted in the group. You can now subscribe to the various topics of discussion within the group. Hopefully this will cause the social groups to be a bit more active.
Search Bar for Social Groups
Some other new features include the "Search Discussion" feature. If you are looking for something specific and do not feel like looking throughout all the topics, then simply search something and it will show up in the results.
Thumbnail Images for Social Groups
You can add a picture as a thumbnail for your social group. If you don't add one, then it won't appear on the main page for Social Groups which can be found
here.
Transferring Group Ownership
If you no longer wish to maintain this social group, you may request another user to take ownership of it instead. Enter the name of the user you would like to transfer the ownership of the social group to.
The user that you request to transfer the group to will receive a private message and an option to confirm the transfer. You may cancel the transfer until the target user has confirmed that they will take over the social group for you.
With these updates, the social groups will look a little bit more like sub forums. Since I have not used all the features yet, I will update this post when necessary.
