New Chat Server

Hey guys!

So, after much Chat re-orginisation, we have finally managed to sort out what we needed to do.

We have moved to a new server located ar 'irc.sixlabrats.com'. The reason for this move is for easier management.

This does mean that if you go to this server, you will have to re-register your Nickname.

To do this, when you enter the chat, you will have to input a Nick. Choose your desired Nick, and then log in. Once a connection has been established, type the following:

/ns register PASS E-MAIL ADDRESS

Obviously, where there is 'PASS' you put in a desired password, and where there is 'E-MAIL' you input your e-mail address.

You will then be ready to go. don't forget your password, as you need to log in each time. To log in, simply type in:

/msg NickServ IDENTIFY PASS

Again, replace PASS with your chosen password when registering.

Everything else is still the same. If you don't venture into the Chat much, then take this opportunity to check it out. It's a great place to hang out with fellow members. But PLEASE remember that the Main chat channel '#friendcodes' is NOT the place to look for games, please keep game searching to the hubs.

One thing I'd like to add. On non-mibbit compliant servers, everyone's host name/IP address shows up as the same if they're from mibbit. If the mibbit host is banned for one user, everyone will be banned. The operators will have to ban their real name which is their ISP host and IP address.

/ban ~r:infoinfo-ipaddress-blahblah

Along with that being said, Rolcol, myself, Renster, and MkZoNeR will not be joining you guys. We're staying on Exilenet, and not moving. Sorry to say, but we won't be active on the 'new' server.
