Private Messaging I guess. Otherwise just add them. It wouldn't hurt sending a few Moderators some friend requests so you can quickly relay naughty threads etc to them.

The hubs; IRC; PMs. Try adding them as contacts, but not as friends. (there's a distinction) That might work.

Yes exactly. because I get random pagers from people asking for gym battles... well...

how are they going to pager me if they aren't on my list?

If the do put the list of members,They should just put the members that are on,and not all members..That way you don't have to go through ever username
