We've finally found a new system to replace the buggy pagers!
If you take a look at the bottom of the page, you will see something that looks like this (I have a fairly wide resolution so it might not be so far to the right for you):
If you click "Who's Online", you can see who's currently online out of your buddy list. A green dot indicates the buddy is online, a black dot indicates they're offline. This new system relies on who you have added to your buddy list, so if you want to chat with your friends instantly, make sure you have them added on your
Contacts & Friends page in your User CP.
All your conversations can be minimised and you can bring up the conversation anywhere on the forums provided that you don't close the window completely. If you don't want someone talking to you, just take them off your buddy list. You can also edit your status or disable sound notifications by clicking on the little "cog" image to the right of the "Who's Online" tab.
