1. I should take part in this team, because I want to put something into this site. I've been here for a long time and it's time I give something back. I also have good spelling and grammar. 2. FC's community is coming back. There are more quality members that newer members can look up to. And the site is ever growing. 3. If I were to be on the team, I'd guess the thing to take part in would have to be reviews (?) since that is what I'm applying for. However, I would also suggest events to stir some excitement into the community, get some actual thoughts from users about their issues and problems. Well, I'm sure you're doing that already, right? 4. I don't exactly have my work in print right here...but I did many of the Article of the Month contests back when Ninboy was hosting it. I think I did some guides and reviews though way back though. Can't get a link though at the moment.
EDIT: Yes, I can't find a way into the archives. Friends are like potatoes, if you eat them they die. | | Keep ya head up ^* Hub: Offline | | Posts: 895 Join Date: Apr 2006 | | | Re: FC.com is Hiring: Reviewing/Game Guide Positions Available -

I love writing reviews on gaming, and I think I could definitely be a help to any gamer with guides or reviews. Reviews to me are very important; I myself read reviews from at least two or three sites before buying a game. I think I could bring the depth to each article. 2. What I like about FC's community is...
Nintendo, Nintendo, Nintendo! We all love to talk about the big N no matter what it's about. Head over to the Brawl forum and you've got at least a hundred people who love talking about what you love. If I want to play Mario Kart, I can just open a hub and in a few minutes we're having a blast seeing who can get hit with the least blue shells (definitely not me). 3. If I were to be on this team, some things I'd like to take part in/suggest are...
User interactivity. Guides and reviews aren't well known here on FC and I'd like to get more people involved. Perhaps by getting some of their own opinions in the articles. Community likes feedback from the community, if you get what I'm saying. 4. Please include evidence of previous work, such as articles, reviews etc.
I have done some reviews for Zelda Guide, and recently submitted a Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 guide for Wii to GameFAQs (pending). | | Classic Gamer Hub: Offline | | Posts: 1,769 Join Date: Aug 2006 | | | Re: FC.com is Hiring: Reviewing/Game Guide Positions Available -

1. I have been a reviewer in the past, and I have been a member of FC for a long time and understand how things work on the staff team/site. I also have plenty of free time to invest and I would like to apply myself in a larger way then just participation in the forums.
2. A large and friendly group of members that I have gotten to know over the time I have been on here. The people of FC all have something to contribute, which is one of the reasons why this site is so popular and people are attracted to it.
3. Helping make a cleaner, easier way to produce reviews and guides, and a more convenient way for users to take part in reading them. Mainly a more intuitive way for reviews and guides to become more reader/writer friendly, if it would be possible.
4. I was on the team previously and have reviews and a guide or two in the past articles section.
I left the team before because I didn't have the time to put out the necessary reviews due to school work, just as R1kk1 said. But with summer, I surely have some time to write some reviews. | | The force is with me! Rik | 1. I should be a part of the team because I am a talented writer and I have been a member for a while. I also want to give FC something very exciting to read! I will will work constantly to accomplish this task over and over again!
2. What I like about FC's community is there are lots of people you can get to know and play games with. I think i need to give the members something else to enjoy such as great, fun, and energitic articles to give the 411 on the new movies, games, and Nintendo.
3. If i were to be on this team, some things I'd like to take part in/suggest are movie articles, contest holding, advertisement, gaming info, reviews and whatever else you need me to do because I'm up to any challenge.
4. I have done some movie articles already and i plan on doing many more so check them out when u can. I have listed the article I've done so far at the bottom. Batman: Dark Knight Dragon Ball Movie

I should be a part of this team because...
I would love to help the site by keeping the members entertained and informed about the gaming world. To do this I will provide legible reviews that are easy to understand but contain enough information to keep the reader's interest. I know being part of the team takes dedication and I’ll bring that to the table. I'm not doing much this summer and on most days I’ll be on the internet for over six hours. I will use all that time effectively, by preparing articles daily and getting them criticized from my friends and other users. I want to make each article I make perfect knowing that a large amount of people will be reading them. I won the Best Grammar award in 2007. Even though I feel like I didn't deserve the award I take pride in winning because members of this site recognized me for my grammar. I started playing video games since the NES generation and I've played a lot of games that vary in genres. By having personal experience playing the games I review, my articles will be more opinion-like then facts. My mark in English this year ended as a 97.3% and my final average this year for all subjects is 97.6%. As you can see, I’m a hard working student. I hope to provide that work ethic here to keep the members here entertained and informed. Picking me for the team would be a good decision for the reasons above. I have a lot of time, I have good grammar and I have experience playing lots of Nintendo games since I was young. What I like about FC's community is...
I LOVE the community, not like. The features of the site are tremendous (hubs, blogs, profiles and groups) compared to other Nintendo forums on the internet. I find the community to be relaxed and clean (having no spam anywhere). The maturity of most of our members is high and we barely get any problems. Our staff is always there if we need them and I appreciate their sense of humour to ease the tension on the site. It’s easy to make friends on this site too. I like how the site is introducing many tournaments and contests to keep our interest here. It’s great to be competitive and view entries in contests. The site barely has advertisements too. This is one of the greatest Nintendo Wi-Fi communities and I will be here until the end. If I were to be on this team, some things I'd like to take part in/suggest are...
I would suggest ideas like: - Members can be quoted in an article.
- Members that give you a link to an article get recognized.
- An article tab in the toolbar (keeps archives of old articles).
- An option for members to rate the article while posting.
- I would help other team mates edit and improve their articles.
- Members can suggest games for us to review.
Please include evidence of previous work, such as articles, reviews etc. Pokemon Platinum Mario Kart Wii Snaking Details Pokemon GSC Rumours
Some popular threads I've made that had long discussions.
The most recent is the Pokemon Platinum thread. I got some aids from Shido. New profile and music.

I think I should be a part of the Reviewing/News Team because I used to review games, until I took my very long absence, in which I was removed. I've been here a while, and I know my way around, and I know quite a few people here. I think that I'm a decent, if not good reviewer, and since I have so much time on my hands, I think that I'll most likely use that time to review some of the games I've bought, and will buy. I think that I'll try and keep everyone up-to-date with fresh news, and reviews on new releases. And also, I really just have a passion for writing overall, wether it be reviewing or just something random.
The thing I really like about Friendcodes is that its just a place where you can place where you can just stop by, play a couple games, and talk and just have fun. Its just an overall warm place to be, with discussions going on all the time, and with great people to discuss with. Its got lots of features to make it that much more enjoyable, and to really be able to show who you are as a gamer, and as a person.
Some things I would really like to see around here if I was on this team are: -A Lot More Reviews. Don't get me wrong. I'm extremely proud of the Reviewers and --News Editors and all of their amazing reviews, but I think that we could do more reviews. There's a lot games that aren't reviewed, and have been out for a while. -More Member Reviews. I get why we have reviews for only writers, but if little to none of the members can contribute to the reviews, then they wouldn't be as interested in reading reviews. -Try and get some better discussions. Some of these threads in here are just very disappointing. And, I'm not saying that we need to trash all them, but maybe just a social event in the chat, where its actual discussion on real topics. I know, sounds a little bit dumb, but I think its a good idea.
Some of my previous reviews (ones that weren't deleted..) Trauma Center: Under the Knife American McGee's Alice Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
(There are others, three more)
Oh, and also, about the whole 'removed from writers' thing, it was when i went on my super long break after quitting from moderating. I came back one day, had a message and it was the "Tell me if you still wanna be part of the Writer's team." message, and I opened it like 3 days after the deadline, so I just was removed.
..yeah.
....that's it.

1. Why I should be I in the team:
I want do do all I can to improve the FC site. Being in the staff would make me legable to write reviews, articles ect... I personally would love to do that! I am a gaming know it all. I do alot of reasearch on games that are coming out! I want to be able to make others life easier to just that, it is not always easy! 2. What do I like about FC:
What I like about FC is that-you make friends, it has all the info on upcoming games for DS and Wii (thanks to you (soon hopefully me too)), and you are able to have one on one games, clans and tournaments. 3. If I were in the team:
I would not slak and use the power to bully. I would make peoples life easier by making reviews including upcoming events. I would sugest that the site needs more colour, personally I think it is getting a little dull the same old blue, white and black but that dosen't mean I want rainbow everywhere because that would look weird! I just want a little more life into the site that is all.
I would also like to piont out that when I joined the site I didn't take using grammer seriously but over the last few months I have so please do not blame me on bad grammer for previous work.
And thankyou for giving me the chance to be in the FC staff. If it spares a few miniutes of my life it is worth it.
Some of my threads include: Sigs-what programe?, Smileys :) and Favourite gaming system!? those are my three most modern threads.
Thank you for your time

1. I should be a part of this team because...
I would do a very good job at making good or bad reviews on games and what are the pros and cons from other prospective and know what is the greatest and baddest quality with the game or anything you want me to do on.
2. What I like about FC's community is...
I literally like everything, actually I LOVE everything here, its a very great community with awesome people that have same interests, I when I do have this job, I promise to do the best I can do for it. As it for me.
3. If I were to be on this team, some things I'd like to take part in/suggest are...
What this job wants me to do, and help anyone with anything that they have problems on. Suggest? I really don't think we don't take action unless it required or something is going down hill, then we'll have to do something. Also am on like all day if its a good day.~!!
4. Please include evidence of previous work, such as articles, reviews etc.
Here's on of the many things I did for the FCWII.COM Community. Quote:
These are the New Rules and Guidelines for posting on the FCwii.com forums. Most of these should come as no surprise to forum members, as the moderators have used these guidelines during the evolution of this document.
Please read through the rules and guidelines below.
-----
The FCwii.com Mission Statement:
"To keep the forums friendly and welcoming to as wide a range of users as possible."
Rules & Guidelines for FCwii.com Forums
Rule 0: This is a privately owned board. Our word is law. None of the following rules give away that right. Despite that, we strive to be reasonable.
Rule 1: Users may be warned, formally or informally; suspended, short-term or long-term; or banned at moderator discretion. We try very hard not to do these things gratuitously. These rules are a guideline, so that we won't have to do them at all.
Rule 2: Respect other users of FCwii.com. Do not make attacks, either in the forums or through Private Messages. Challenging ideas is fine, but do not attack individuals or groups. Racist, sexist, homophobic (including the use of "gay" as a pejorative) and other slurs are prohibited.
Rule 3: Respect our purpose and structure. Post in the appropriate forum.
Rule 4: Respect the law. Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law or encouraging other users to break U.S. laws or the laws of their country of residence.
Rule 5: Respect the audience. Do not post pornography and/or anything that can be considered inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format; this includes detailed descriptions of sex acts. Do not post links to pornography or otherwise inappropriate sexually explicit sites.
Rule 6: Respect privacy. Do not post for public viewing any emails or Private Messages unless you have the explicit written permission of each person involved in the exchange. Do not use posts or parts of posts from these forums for commercial ends without the express permission of each person involved.
Rule 7: Respect our time. We have a forum specifically for selling and buying of game-related items. Do not try and sell items or services elsewhere. Do not spam the forums. Do not spam individual users through Private Messages.
Rule 8: Respect your account. Do not share your account with other individuals, as you will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account. Do not impersonate other users, past or present. Do not impersonate any gaming industry celebrity. Sock-puppet accounts are permitted at moderator discretion.
Rule 9: Respect our expertise. We are gamers, not trained professionals. Do not request emergency crisis counseling or solicit personal financial donations from the forum in general or other users in specific.
Rule 10: Respect our decisions. The moderation team reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even users conforming to the letter. All moderator decisions may be appealed to the administration.
Five Guidelines for Posting in the FCwii.com Forums:
1) Be polite. Try to be considerate. Make some basic attempt at using proper capitalization, punctuation, spelling and grammar, because they all aid in communication. Use profanity as a spice, not the main course. Please do not use HTML to embed sound or video clips (such as those from YouTube) into your posts. If you want to share, post a link instead.
2) Don't threadjack. Derailing a thread's conversation is a good way to annoy the thread's creator and everyone else involved in the conversation. If you absolutely need to discuss something else, find an appropriate thread for your topic or start your own.
3) Don't threadcrap. If you wish to correct what you see as an error or fallacy in the initial post of a thread, that's fine, but if you have a problem with the basic premise of a discussion such that you wish it weren't taking place at all, ignore it. Don't tell everyone in the thread they're wasting their time discussing the issue, because if they agreed with you, they wouldn't be discussing the issue.
4) Think before you post. It can sometimes be hard to determine where acceptable conversation ends and attacks or other rules violations begin, especially in the heat of a debate. If you are unsure whether a post might cross the line, feel free to PM a moderator or administrator for advice — especially before making a post you might regret later.
5) Do not post just to increase your posts count without actually saying anything relevant. Just because you aren't selling something doesn't mean it isn't spamming. (If you just can’t help yourself, there are threads set up specifically for this that are noted as such.)
What to Expect From Moderators:
Firstly, remember that all moderators on these boards are also posters here, and are all individual volunteers. Some variance will occur as a normal by-product of the operation of the site. That said, the moderators do attempt to remain professional and to act consistently as a group.
All Moderator warnings, bans, or suspensions will be made in red text. Period. That way there will be no mistaking a joking comment for an official warning – and warnings will be unmistakable.
Some of the above sanctions are rarer than others. We rarely use Thread, Topic, or Forum Bans, and most mods are loathe to use them. Do not expect to be able request a specific kind of sanction -- they occur at each mod's discretion for violations of the Rules.
Lastly, keep in mind that FCwii.com reserves the right to periodically purge unused account names from the system. At this point, we'll be looking to remove accounts that haven't been used for a year or more. If you want to keep your user name, post once in a while, or it'll be up for grabs again when we delete it.
