Effective immeadiately:
We've been having issues with users who have been breaking rules, such as typing a ton of profanities or spamming the chatrooms, or other such annoying things. However, when the staff members confront the offending user, they give us responses such as "my brother did it" or "my friend sneaked on my account". Because they say this, they usually don't get punished. However, this convenient excuse has been abused, so the staff at Friendcodes.com have decided to make this additional rule to prevent the abuse of this excuse:
* The owner of an account is hereby responsible for any actions occurring on his/her account.
This is a very basic rule; if something happens to your account, if a brother or sister did it, or a friend, it doesn't matter. You are held responsible. The only exception to this rule is if you are hacked, and this is a very uncommon occurrence, and before you people go around thinking that you can use that s an excuse, let me get this straight: we can tell if an account has been hacked or not. So don't use that as an excuse for your bad conduct.
Now, some people will say, "That's not fair! What if our brother or sister really DOES sneak on our profile? Then what?". Well, you can prevent such a problem from occurring by following these easy precautions:
- Always log out when you are done using the site
- Never give your passwords out to anybody
- Make sure you are monitoring the computer closely when you are logged on
- Never, NEVER give out your password online
If you follow that, then our new rule should be of no problem to you.
