I hope your all enjoying the great new forum upgrade. This is just to give you all a heads up about a few new features that were released.
Photo Albums:
The
FC staff have decided to lift a few of the rules in regards to the albums section. Beforehand, you were able to use pictures of yourself as your avatar or profile picture, but other then that, it was not allowed to post any pictures of yourself on the forum, entirely for your safety.
With the new albums, we have decided to be a bit more lenient with the rules. So from now on
it is fine to post pictures of yourself in your albums. But, the following rules still apply:
- Your security is still of utmost importance to us, so if we see any pictures that we feel are giving out more information then should be given out (city, school, addresses, etc), we will not hesitate in removing the picture.
- As Corey has already said, PLEASE be sensible in what you post in your albums. We are trusting you to have the common sense as to know what is decent and what isn't.
- Posting pictures of yourself is entirely up to you. Any consequences are your responsibility.
- Infractions/Bans will be given out to people who abuse the system.
Friends List:
Many of you have experienced a major drop in your number of friends after the upgrade. While they are not in your friends list, do not fear, they are still in your Buddies list.
Simply go to 'Quicklinks > Contacts and Friends' And a list of all Buddies and Friends will be shown. All of your friends are still saved here, so don't feel as if you have to hunt them all down individually.
If you want to add someone as a friend, then merely click on the 'Friend' tick box. Once you have selected who you want, then click 'Save Changes' and a request will be sent out again so they can accept and will be re-added to your friends list.
If you are recieving friend requests, but the request is not appearing where it should be, this usually means the the person who sent you the request is already on your buddy list. In which case, all you need to do is hit the 'Save Changes' button.
Many of you may want to use this opportunity to prune through your friends list and make it more accurate (a job I kept putting off until now). Should you want to remove a friend from the list, un-check the box next to the avatar. After saving the changes, that will remove that particular contact.
