Well Trying to have a brawl tourney here

Main Rules


1. Items are turned to off and none.

2. No whining if you lose.

3. 2 people will fight eachother at a time.

4. NO CHEATING IN ANY WAY WHAT-SO-EVER!!!!

5. If not reported by the time supposed to the other play automatically wins, unless player is worthy enough to give you a chance.

6. If neither people show up for a match, they both will be disqualified. But…

7. If you have to postpone your match, let us know. We’ll let you play at a different time.

8. Your opponent and you choose stage. If both really agree and won't whine when they lose. If both players dont' agree on a choice of 3 stages then automatically one of the Neutral Stages of my choice.

9. Matches will have 3 lives, and will be 5 minutes long.

10. Best out of 3.

11. Semi-Finals and Finals are matches best of five.

12. If time runs out, the winner is determined by stock and by percent.

13. All persons are responsible for their own controls and must make sure it is set before the match begins.

14. Any action that prevents the game from continuing results in a forfeiture of the match for the offender. (meaning if loser turns wii off right when results come up they lose)

15. All matches will be held in a Hub named xXPABLOXx Tourney


Gameplay Rules
1. Meta Knight's Infinite Dimensional Cape Glitch is banned.
2. If a game ends with Bowser using his Flying Slam and the game goes to Sudden Death, the Sudden Death is ignored and Bowser is declared the winner. same with King Dedede and Kirby's.
3.Stalling is banned.
Stalling: Any action that avoids all conflict as to make the game unplayable. Running from an opponent to get to a better position is not considered stalling, but using chain grabs infinitely against a wall (more than around 300%) or using Sonic's Neutral B repeatedly underneath the stage is stalling.

Thinking about it, but I'm not sure yet if I'll be available, so I won't sign up right now.

Plus, I really don't think Brawling on 75m is going to work out for me. Some of these stages may be better off banned because of certain hazards that some characters have more trouble avoiding than others.

Ex: Mushroomy Kingdom, the walk-off hazard is terrible and can be used for an immediate stock advantage, plus no grab-able edges. Temple and New Pork City are camp/stalling paradises. Skyworld clearly favors characters with long range recoveries, and the edges cause constant stock-losses. Flat Zone 2, side KOs are way too easy to score here, and the hazards usually cost stocks, which could also cost the game. Mario Bros is a nightmare, and is completely unfair in a tournament. The hazards are insane and cause massive knocback, more often than not costing a stock, and to make things worse, the hazards can't be shielded. There are other problems, but any competitive aspect you may be trying to implement in this tournament will be killed by these gimmicks.

As for the neutrals, those stages are fine, but some are technically not neutral stages. Brawl has a very small amount of true "neutral" stages.

This coming from the guy who's only been to 1 competitive AiB tournament, though =P The rules I followed were the same as the ones at Genesis, though. BTW, that's starting up tomorrow! =D
