I never knew you could angle your shield.

My LINK against a pikachu.
Those thunders in midair off the stage keep me off the stage.
It makes it really hard to recover.
When I am in my Up b form,pikachu uses thundershock and I fall to my death.

How can prevent the Thunder from hitting me?

This match-up is bad. I'd suggest using Marth against Pikachu. But anyway. Your Zair is completely useless in this match-up since Pikachu is so small, can crouch and crawl, and because Pikachu is pretty fast and will always be on the move. Always keep a bomb in hand because if Pikachu grabs you he can chain grab you with his Fthrow and Dthrow a few times, the bomb will blow up and stop this by hitting you both. Link has a lot of range and you're going to have to take advantage of this. Use reverse pivot boosted Fsmash's for spacing. You're standard jab combo its going to be a your GTFO move if Pikachu gets close. You really need to camp with your projectiles here to keep him away from you and to rack up some damage. Thunder is pretty predictable in my opinion. If Pikachu goes offstage to thunder try thowing a boomerang or bomb to stop him, granted you're a good distance above stage level doing this below stage level will KO you since Link's recovery is horrible. Pikachu is light and Link has some very good KO power so you should be able to get rid of Pikachu around the low 100%'s and Dair should kill around 90%-100%.

Link has what is called a pivot boost. If you turn around from a standing position and walk that way you'll see how during the turn around animation (The Pivot) he slides before starting to walk. This allows Link to do thing like sliding Fsmash's Dsmash's, Ftilts, Utilt, grabs, etc. There are a number of ways to preform it. The easiest way is called 'The Craq Walk'. This is when you SHBair and hold the control stick in the direction you attacked so when you land you start walking the other way. When this happens just Fsmash and Link will have moved back a little bit, this makes the range a bit deceiving.
