Sonic/Shadow: real or rumor.

I was searching stuff on brawl earlier and I found someone that said that when you change sonic's color he turns into shadow.. When I asked him to show me a picture he said he had to go. -.- So I'm left wondering if this is true or not. Though I'm pretty sure its not.

no shadow is an assist troph(tsuns forum told us all that)
sonic has a dark sonic costume but not a shadow costume
