Mainly becouse nobody knew how much potential Melee had. Now that we know what Smash is capable of, theres alot of potential.

It's really up to your preference, but I'd say that Olimar is pretty epic :P

It all depends on the character. If you want a person that is fast and can deal damage insanely fast go with someone like Kirby, Diddy Kong or Sheik. You want someone who can inflict a lot of damage in 1 blow or 2 go with characters like King DeDeDe or Donkey Kong. Or you could always go with the more balanced out characters like Mario and Fox. It all depends on what you like.

If none of that works i'm out of ideas.

the beaty of brawl compared to melee is that now you can play with the chars you like in competitive ways.I HATED MELEE because of tourney variety.
I went to 4 mayor melee events and i saw 90 percent of Foxes,marths, falcons and sheiks(and them some peaches doing smash down all the time).I found later ,researching on the web, that it was also the case WORLDWIDE.It was pathetic.Why having over 20 chars in a game to use just 4 all the time?I won a smaller tourney tho myself NOT using either of those. And now my fav char has a shot at tourneys.And Diddy is not getting enough love while being a beast.Pretty good char, as well as Donkey.Diddy is often ranked higher than Ike,yet online you find a lot of ikes which lose constantly.So that trend will make ike less desirable rather quickly.Now people is chosing him cuz hes "cool" looking.But slow and pawnable as hell.

And thats what im trying to find..

Today im trying out Diddy, Captain Falcon, Kirby, and Link.

Also i played a few online matchs today, where i only one 3 times... once with ZSS (might try her out) Diddy, and Captain falcon, so hopefully i may Pwn with one of them in the future ^^:D

Also.. the thing I always see Diddy Kong's doing is ignoring the fact that the opponent through a banana at them, if your opponent picks up your banana and throws it they don't slip on it anymore and you can slip on it. You can also pick up the bananas they threw to do the opposite.
