Final Smash in Melee?

I believe that the final smash was thought of in the making of melee, but for some reason, they may have removed it. The reason I think this is because if you go into the sound test, the characters have unused voices. Take pikachu for example, In melee he has an unused voice (sound test) that isnt used in melee period, its just there. Well if you compare it to the sounds pikachu makes when he uses the final smash, they sound very similar. I don't remember if the other characters had one, cause back then, I mained pikachu/pichu, these both had them. The voices sound like theyre angry.

The only reason I think it involves the final smash is because they sound very similar, but for all I know, it could have been that they were gonna add more than one taunt, only to realize they didn't have the time/disk space to do it, so they ended it in mid programming.

Anyone else think this may have happend?

I'm pretty sure that a character having a sound not used in the game by no means means Final Smashes were invented in Melee.

I highly doubt FS was planned for Melee.

It could've been invented during Melee devlopment, and your probably right that there might've not been enough disc space.

Did you know that in Super Smash Bros. (64), they were gonna put final smashes but didn't, and Snake was suppose to be in Melee, but did not had enough time.

as for the unused voice acting, it sounds interesting. but i dont think it was for final smashes, but shigaru is known for throwing things in at the last moment.

maybe the 64 thing was sarcasm but he was right about snake in melee

No it's not sarcasm, they really were gonna put FS on SSB64.

well we don't work at nintendo so we don't know for all we know Melee was thought around the time of the 64 versions release.

That's like saying they wanted to put Windwaker Link in the N64 version. Wrong.
