How did you start using your mains

I started using Zelda when I was 9. At the time I was having trouble with event match 51. I picked random characters, trying to figure out which character would be best. Then I picked Zelda/Sheik. The first time I used her, I took out Giga bowser and ganondorf. I was taken out by Mewtwo on his last two lives. But as I practiced and learned more about her. I evenually beat the event. So ever since then, I've been using Zelda.

And my other two mains I started using because I thought they were cool, so I wanted to use them. Pokemon trainer I got the hang of quickly, but R.O.B took me a few weeks to get the hang of. But eventually I did.

Anyways. How did you start using your mains?

I've just liked lucario since I started playing pokemon diamond and when I heard he was going to be in brawl, I knew he'd be my main.

As soon as I saw Meta Knight in the very first Brawl trailer, I knew I'd main him. Words cannot express the koolaid smile I had on my face, or the feeling of excitement I had when I saw his toss his cape back, and saw his character intro. My mind was completely made up. The longer I had to wait for the game, the less Meta Knight appealed to me, and I almost changed my mind. Then when we finally got Brawl, I picked Meta Knight first, and my mind was made up once again.

Same excact thing with me and Sonic.
Though I thought he would have more moves that WASN'T HIM SPINNING. -_-

The first Smash had like what... eight characters to start with? o_o I liked most of them, but for whatever reason Yoshi stuck on me. I messed with Kirby and Pikachu, too, but Iono. o_o I think it's cause my favorite color was green back then...

Melee came out and in battles with my sister I could then egg-roll-spam. :P And yeah. Lost interest in Kirby and Pikachu for more unknown reasons... tried out Mewtwo sometimes, but he flew to easily. Fell in luff with Yoshi's double jump considering the amount of times I tried Adventure mode to get the Crazy Hand trophy. Which I did eventually get with Yoshi. :3 Also cleared the last event match with Yoshi. I guess there just wasn't another character much like him. *shrug*

And by Brawl, he was just my favorite. ^^; And everyone talks about how much they think he sucks. I want to prove them wrong. :D

Agreed. Yoshi is the most underrated character in the game. The only reason people say he sucks is because people don't know how to use him. Like in Melee alot of people mained with sheik and disregarded Zelda. In melee, I actually used them both equally. Like Yoshi, if you master Zelda, she becomes incredibly powerful.

Kirby is my main, i started using him at the age of 4 or 5 for SSB, I've always used him:D

Samus has always been my favourite character, for me no brainer.
Metaknight is awesome because of his sword, his coolness and flying.

Yoshi is really strong, but when I use him(?)(it could be a it or a she) I always egg roll unintentionally.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is my favorite game.
