    Curb my curiosity peopels, please

Well, well, North America finally got its release of Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Good or bad in your eyes, I've been playing this months before it even was thought of coming to the states. I ran a couple videos online to see the difference, and I'm rather dissapointed. I know some things, and the following differences are

    - Wi-Fi (Pretty cool)
    - Exclusion of the old characters, and new characters added (Do not like.)
    - Exclusion of some stages, and new ones added (I guess I can live.)
    - Announcers voice change (completely stupid of doing in the first place.)
    - From what I've see, the character and stage select were modified (The old one is a lot better.)
    - And English acting (>.< My ears, they burn!)

What I wanted to ask today was what new characters were added in, is there new mini-games? In fact, if you have never taken the time to view the Japanese version, just give me a short summary of everything if you will. $50 For this game is anything but worth it, and even if I'm stuck without Wi-Fi on my game, its still worth playing the imported version. So, just give my a list of everything, please. And, on behalf of me and some Japanese players, I say; I'm sorry you people have to play such a watered down version of the imported game. It really did have so much potential until now.

    My opinion, please don't flame.

    Thanks =^.^=

    Your opinion is ill-informed.

Just for the hell of it, I'll break down the differences.

    Cons-

-Ultimate All Stars lacks animated endings.

-Ultimate All Stars has stage-based music instead of music that changes depending on the last character to switch in. The music is also different (probably worse all things considered) than the Cross Generation of Heroes music.

-Ultimate All Stars is missing ONE character from CGOH. That would be Hakushon Daimaio.

    -Many mini games are gone.

    Pros-

-They rebalanced EVERYTHING. Characters play differently now, mainly with combos. Infinites and exploits that were considered cheap have been removed. Other characters were buffed. The changes are comparable to the differences between Blazblue Calamity Trigger and Blazblue Continuum Shift.

-They added 5 new characters-Zero, Frank West, Tekkaman Blade, Yatterman #2, and Joe the Condor. So the game lost a single character and gained 5. It gained much more than it lost.

-To replace the minigames, they massively expanded PTX's minigame into a full shoot-em-up side-game.

    -Ultimate All Stars has wifi.

    -more alternate costumes.

    -UAS is in English.

The import version isn't really better. Most of the things that CGOH has that UAS doesn't are unimportant. Animated endings? Big deal. You can watch those on youtube, translated into English. Mini-games? Who cares? The only real loss is the music and a single character that was replaced by 5 more. They didn't remove stages. There is no English voice acting except for Frank West (who's English voice is awesome). The announcer's voice is awesome actually

And this is why America, dare I say, is dirty. Here, you have a Japanese game that was never suppose to hit the coast, and it goes unchecked just because your not familiar with a couple characters, and move on. And Japanese and import collectors alike understand the purity of a game, and could care less if nothing looked familiar, it was really decent. Then it gets a release date, and your spoiled with American values that the original did not have, and your going to brag about the one you played and never take the chance to play the other one. You do not know if the other one is any good, and that's a fact. Fine, you get Wi-Fi, that's great, honestly. But if you gave the imported one an ounce of a chance, you wouldn't care it was never added.

Do not form an opinion if you do not have all the facts. Go play my version first, then come back with an opinion. 95% of FC has never played the imported, so I expect opinions from your region game. But until then, please do not tell me I'm ill informed of something you have never even tried. =^.^=

If the Game Released in America is Crappy.

    Then the game IS Crappy.

That's all we have to go by.

So don't say we should play the Japanese version.

Why did you even make this topic if you weren't going to listen to anything anybody said?

If you noticed, I listed several things that were better about the import version. However, the fact remains that the newer game has been rebalanced and has 4 more characters! It doesn't have less characters! You were just plain wrong about that!

In a fighting game, balance is pretty important. It is much more important than minigames or animated endings or music, sorry. Cross Generation of Heroes had infinites for several characters and other stuff like Batsu's dive kick being able to let him run away for an entire match.

I'm sorry that Ultimate All Stars isn't "pure" enough for you. It's still a better game. Please don't call America dirty and insult Americans either. I said nothing negative about Japan. I take offense to your pretentiousness. I never thought anybody would be elitist about owning imported games.

Edit-Stop calling Cross Generation of Heroes the Japanese version and Ultimate All Stars the American version. That's not even the case. Ultimate All Stars is coming out in Japan too. Ultimate All Stars is simply the upgraded version. It's like the difference between Blazblue Calamity Trigger and Blazblue Continuum Shift. This has nothing to do with regional differences. One is simply the older game and the other is the newer, improved one.

I just know that everything Trainer said is true, and that should be enough for you to decide from.

I'll stay with the american version, thank you very much.

You, my friend are a moron. TJ just listed many ways in which they improved on the American version and you just deny it completely because of your obvious hatred of America. It wouldn't have mattered what he would have said you would have hated the new version. I have played the Japan version and it was a damned good game. I just prefer this one because of the extra content. You cried because of the lack of characters when we only lost one and when you find out we actually added 5 you act as if it's no big deal, you make no sense.

tldr; stop being an idiot and look at the facts, the American version just has more to play around with. They are both essentially VERY good games, I just prefer the American version because of the extra stuff.

EDIT: Didn't see TJ's second post. Ninja'd badly, lol. Leaving this just so the bipolar Japanese fanboy can see it again.
