You should upgrade to either Norton Internet security or Norton 360. They cost more but its worth it.

As for computer being slow, it can be caused by:

1. Clogged registry
2. Too many saved files on your harddrive
3. Fragmented files on your harddrive
4. Running too many programs (either that, or running too many large programs at once such as iTunes and a internet browser)
5. Wear and tear

NOD32 and Kaspersky are far better/faster/cheaper solutions than Norton. Norton is slow, bloated, and ineffective in terms of false positives and virus detection. Many free alternatives (AVG Home, avast! Home Edition, and Avira Antivirus) routinely place better than Norton.

I don't know, it, combined with Webroot Antivirus with Antispyware, have given my half-brother's computer a near-impregnable defense (are you talking about Norton Antivirus only or are you also including Norton Internet Security and 360?)

I have not used or researched any material concerning Norton Internet Security or Norton 360, so I cannot make a judgment on their quality.

Norton Internet Security is a suped-up version of Norton Antivirus. (Norton 360 is a super-up version of Internet Security)

I have a problem about my laptop becuz every single time when i click my internet it goes slow when i hear my music from Itunes & Limewire . I download songs it goes slow but i really dont have Videos or some stuff becuz i dont want my laptop get virus so that's my question

If you're going to buy a lot of RAM you're going to need a better processor otherwise, it'll be useless. (not really, but it'll help the computer run a lot faster).

Defragment your HDD
Update your system
Check your registry and make sure you don't see anything strange
Use Disk Cleanup and remove all the stuff on the list
Make sure you are logged in as an Admin or System user
Make sure no one else is connected to your PC
If you use Vista, Disable Aero and Sidebar
Make sure nothing is downloading in the background

Once you do all that, it should be fine.
