Wii Homebrew Problem - 01-02-09

(Hey, if there is a thread about DS Homebrew, Wii should be allowed. :P)

I'm trying to install Homebrew on my Wii (Using the Twilight hack) and I'm using this tutorial: In-depth Wii soft-mod tutorial ~ UPDATE DEC 15 ~ Going clean up the OP soon... - Smash World Forums and 'THE EASY WAY TO HACK YOUR WII' section. I downloaded the SD card pack that he has in that thread and I'm trying to copy the Twilight save onto my Wii, but it won't work. It says that it is copying and everything, but then I go to my Wii memory and it isn't there. Does anyone know why?

(Btw, if this isn't allowed because I said "hack" a couple times, feel free to delete it)

Are you sure you got the right Twilight Hack for your Firmware? Also, make sure the Twilight Hack (Should be Boot.dol or Boot.elf) is copied to the root of your SD card. If that still doesn't work, try moving the file(s) to your SD Card's Wii Save Data folder.

What Wii System Menu are you on?

Then if that's the problem. (What ZeroMercy said)

The 3.4 version can be found here; The Homebrew Channel.

Sorry if this link isn't allowed, remove it if not.

Re: Wii Homebrew Problem - 01-03-09

Okay, let me clarify something.
Soft modding (The Twilight Hack) cannot break your Wii as long as you know exactly what you're doing and you know what the process involves. Secondly, the Homebrew Channel can be deleted, however Nintendo can still see the logs. I don't know where you found out that "you will be stuck with a white box" because that isn't true when (again I'll repeat it) you know what you're doing.
Two helpful links: Brick Will a Wii System Update Brick my hacked Wii?

Remember, if you decide to hack your Wii, make sure you know what you're doing and also with a hacked Wii, be careful not to download Wii System Updates straight away until you know that it is safe to use with the Homebrew Channel. The best place to find out will be here on the main page.

Homebrew discussion is allowed according to the rules so this thread should be fine.

It should be the other way round. Hacking is illegal in gaming laws and is legal in normal law, but homebrew is illegal in normal law(Due to copyright) and legal in gaming.

"Hacking" is not homebrew. True, they're pretty similar but there is a difference. Also, incase I misunderstood your post, homebrew is legal as long as you aren't "misusing" it. We should get back on topic now though.

Re: Wii Homebrew Problem - 01-04-09

Okay, now I could probably explain my problem a bit better. I do have Wii Menu 3.4, so now I have been using Twilight Hack beta 2. But the problem is that I go through everything and I get to the black screen, but I get an error code. The error code is c1000003 which I don't know what it means, but that is the error code.

Does anyone know what is going on now that I clarified it a bit?
