Team Fortress 2 "0x********" crap

I just finally got the orange box today and I installed Portal and Team Fortress 2 AFTER verifying that my system met the requirements, anyways after the game loaded, I chose a server and clicked connect,
I was brought to what looks like a white board, then, heard some "AH-AH-AH-AH-AH"
noise then a dialog box with this following text popped up

"Instruction at "0x11c1b322" referenced memory at "0x17bc2cfc". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program."

Help would be nice

The white board was a server.
Make sure you have all the system requirements.

Requirements-1.7 GHz Processor
I have-2.0 GHz Processor

It needs-512MB RAM
I have-0.99GB RAM

It requires-DirectX 8 Level Grahics card
I have-DirectX 9 Level Graphics Card

It also needs a Internet connection, a keyboard, and a Mouse, all of which I have

EDIT: I deleted and uninstalled about 3 GB of crap I no longer need now my Comp restarts whenever I connect to a server, or sometimes at random parts or the game

Mosey on over to steam/steamapps/*username*/team fortress/tf and RENAME (not delete) "tf2_playerstats.dmx". I renamed it to a simple "tf2.dmx" Afterwards your TF2 (might require a relog of Steam) should work perfectly fine, as it did with several on the boards, including myself

ALTERNATIVELY - If that doesn't work, it you have a different type of crashing, other fixes include checking your game's file integrity (right click --> properties --> Local Files --> Verify integrity of game cache)

And if neither of those work, try deleting your .blob file (it will automatically come back, but you should back it up just in case). Head to your steam folder, locate the "clientregistry.blob" file and delete it.

These fixes are for post-update crashes, they may work for earlier ones, but a majority of the problems are the game's fault, not your computer's. If you can't run the game before or after the update, check your specs and try reinstalling.
