Has your email ever been zerg-rushed by spam?

I recently had a really bad outbreak of spam in an email address of mine, and I've been receiving a lovely 700 spam emails a day on it. Luckily, due to an organized account, I've been able to redirect all of the things that email was linked to at a brand new email address.

So my question is, have you ever gotten into a spam-trap like this before? If so, what did you do about it?

Man. I thought my 30 spam mail messages a day was bad. D; As such, I've never had that many come in.
Mind you, I mean this many for my mom's account. My Gmail account NEVER gets spam, for some reason.

Never had it happened because I use my moms email O.o but I believe that if I had my own and I posted it in my about me thing I'd be in danger or be spammed!!! :(
But otherwise I'm sorry for that! Can't you block people or messages from them? And who sent you the spam? A user on here? A website?

Oh yes, I've definitely had this happen. But it's usually because I signed up for some points thing to get free stuff for a flash game or something. Which is exactly why I use a decoy email for it

Ugh, yes. My own stupidity often causes me to enter my email address at the wrong places.

My hotmail inbox currently has 14,719 unread messages. My hotmail has been zerg rushed for the last 10 years I've had the account up.

I have yet to have spam e-mail. Maybe its because i never check my e-mail.
