    Opinion on Computer Build

Im hoping to get a new computer for my birthday, and this is what I asked for. Can anyone give me some feedback on these specs?

Intel Core i5 2500K QUAD-Core 3.30GHz Processor (Was going to go with i7, but trying to keep it cheap)
    8GB Kingston RAM (2x4GB)
AMD Radeon HD 7770 Graphics Card
500 GB HDD 7,200 RPM Drive (Converting my 1.5 TB External into a Internal Also)
Windows 7 Professional (Need more features then Home Premium, but not as much as Ultimate)

So yeah guys, what do you think?

Seems like a good rig. I'm assuming you'll be gaming with this? How much will all of this be?

It is for gaming yes. 8GB of Ram is going with this. And it will be 1,400 Dollars.

I reckon you can get the price down a bit if you shop around. But for what you have, I would say that price is reasonable.

Well, Im using a company called Puget Systems which custom builds the computers and do stress tests and things like that. I reckon I could shop around and get one that is a bit cheaper, but I have had my heart set on this one for a while. Its a nice Upgrade from a Mac Mini 2009 model...

Ah right, it is getting built for you. I thought you meant you would be building it yourself. If you went DIY you get the costs down a bit more, but if you don't feel comfortable doing it I can understand that.

Well, if you're alright with paying for the luxury of having it built for you, I suppose it's reasonable. I would look at getting a bigger hard drive, but that's just me.

I'm more of a software geek then a hardware geek, I would probably kill myself putting it together. The hard drive is small, but fast, and I have a 1.5TB External drive Im going to convert into a internal harddrive.
