Pokemon White~Configure problems.

[SOLVED]
My internet is connected properly to my router on my Nintendo 3DS. As I go into the Pokemon Center up stairs in Pokemon White, one of the females states that I can not trade over wifi because of my connection. I go onto the internet on the main menu of the game and it says "Please configure your connection settings under the internet option in the System settings"
Any help with this? :<
I feel idiotic about this, but I've tried everything I could to try and connect it.. and it won't.


I'm not fully understanding if my settings on my 3DS is keeping it from connecting or something on the actual game settings is acting up.

On my old DS lite it worked perfectly. Perhaps because I had the friendcode under the setting from my DS it's not working....

Here's something you can try to see if you get results...First go to System Setting on the 3DS Home page. Then Internet Settings. Now Nintendo DS Connections. You'll see a blue box that says Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settinings, tap it. Now tap Connection 1. Search for acess point tap it. If successful, you'll now see a bunch of stuff about what router you're using, if there is a blue open lock you're good to go, tap the corresponding connection. Now the 3DS may now ask you if you would like to run a connection check tap ok. Now you're connected. If not try information in this link | Nintendo 3DS - How To - Internet Connection, System Updates and Online Features and Content Pop-Up. There I hope this helps.

P.S. I did use the American English for region if this is not your region just go to the Nintendo Support home page for you region and selelct the 3DS option.

You may need to do a manual setup. In this case I would look here Content Pop-Up and contact Nintendo directly. Basically you'll need to assign numbers to DNS and Subnet Mask, a Nintendo Represenitive will help you through the process.
