Re: DS Homebrew Discussion Thread - 08-29-07

aahh.. niice thread man!
i got most of this homebrew on my R4, and i would like to recommend the drawing application, "Colors"..! its a realy good program!
it uses the pressure points on the touchscreen to affect the way you draw..! lets say you slide the stylus gently over the screen... this will draw a faded line, and if you press it hard you will draw a solid line!
and the best feature... after you are finished painting, you would want to save your picture! and then you can press this "magical button" to make the program run through all the paintbrush-moves you did in the prog.. its like a little animation...! realy cool!! heheh..

anyway, i got Lemmins DS too... its another cool homebrew game based on the classical Lemmings games.. it actually IS the classic Lemmings..! you get to play all the original levels from all the lemmings games, combined in one DS homebrew..! lovin it...

thats what i wanted to say... so...

peace!

Re: DS Homebrew Discussion Thread - 08-29-07

I'm getting my R4DS in a day or so <3 Can't wait! Sadly R4 doesn't support every homebrew...

I wanted to get CycloDS but that's not value for money, too expensive.

EDIT: Ima sticky thi to prevent more R4DS threads. That way we can keep track of those talking about the illegal stuff and those talking about the legal stuff.

ive had my R4 DS Revolution for a couple of months now.. and i love it!!
its realy not that many homebrew that DONT work with it.. mostly all of them work...! all you got to do is patch the homebrew so it works with your cartridge...!

Re: DS Homebrew Discussion Thread - 08-29-07

I'm going to add a section for flashcarts next.

Most homebrew works with the R4 if you DLDI patch it, and ever since the 1.08(?) firmware kernel, it auto patches. =D The only real homebrew that doesn't work is the kind that requires extra RAM.

I also own the R4, btw.

Nice thread, Chris!

I'm thinking about getting a flash cart, but I'm not sure about which slot I should get it for. What MSN/IRC homebrew apps would you recommend?

The IRC app in DSorganize is good. Beup is the best (if not, only) MSN app that I know of.

What's Beup like?

What about browsers, I'm not interested in playing games but I'd like to be able to use Friendcodes/Youtube/Hotmail, what do you recommend?
