Re: The Tech Support Thread - 04-22-08

Hey i have a problem.

My SSBB disc isn't being read by my Wii. It'll play for a couple minutes and then the error message comes up. "Game disc could not be read"

I'm not sure if it's the Wii or the game. I think it's the game. There are two miniscule scratches that circle the disc on it's reading side. I mean you can barely see them. What should I do?

To MikalMikal

Try Modchip.com or Mod-chip.com or any other of the various ways...hell just google modchip, they all sell replacement parts

To Rebirth:
Okay I know this sounds Dumb but, Are you sure the computer is even on? Alot of PC's have a Power switch on the Back of the PC, specifically for the power supply. Do the Lights on the Front of the PC come on? If not, check for the extra power switch. If this is not the problem, then Make sure every cable is plugged in properly, Unplug and Re-plug them all, countless times this has been a problem for people, simply because its missing a connection by a fraction of a hairs width.

Have you recently Installed Hardware/Software? an Incompatable Piece of Hardware Will stop a PC cold, and software can Be Buggy and Alter your registry in an unfriendly way, Windows Registry is Crap By Default in the first place.

Hope that helps

To dyl102497:

It Looks Like you Turned Of Shadows On Icon Lettering,

Go to your Control Panel>System
at the top click the Advanced tab

This will give you three areas Performance, User profiles, And Startup and Recovery. Notice the Settings Button Included with each? Click the settings button under the Performance area.

This will bring up a Window called Performance Options.

there are 4 Radio buttons here (the round ones)
click on custom, and scroll all the way to the bottom of the list.
you should see a checkbox listing that says
"Use drop Shadows for icon labels on the desktop"

Try that

Create a path, then Stroke path.

EDIT:
dyl102497: this has about a 1% chance of working, but click the middle of your desktop.
